Can we get a Shuriman champ that sides with Xerath?

Title. Like someone who sides with Xerath in the Shuriman civil war because he believes that his tyranical rule would somehow be the best for Shurima. All the other Shuriman champs either side with Azir or are neutral except for Xerath (Renekton doesn't count cause he is brainwashed). Azir has much more champs siding with him than Xerath; Nasus, Sivir (familiy problems a bit tho lol), Taliah, Renekton after he gets un-brainwashed. Xerath has... none that truly side with him. Thougths?

There’s a minor problem.

To be on someone’s side it usually means you have to agree with them, or share some ideology.

Xerath as presented post release from imprisonment doesn’t really seem to have an ideology. Now he did going in, with the whole free the slaves thing. But that largely seems abandoned. Now he just demands people bow to him because he is powerful. So any allies he would gain would probably just be civilians cowed by his power. Which isn’t really satisfying lore for a supposed champion. Not that Riot can’t do it (Trundle) but it just doesn’t seem likely.

The other path is alliance of interest. It’s possible that groups of people don’t like one or more or Xerath’s enemies. A Darkin may blame Azir for abandoning them. But that seems a stretch to side with the guy that actively doomed your empire.

If not brainwashed, there's no reason someone would like Xerath so it would have to be someone who just really hates the idea of Azir ruling, which is plausible. Maybe a member of some Shuriman faction that dislikes Azir.

Taliyah hasn't really allied with Azir if I remember right?

What if the assassins didn't kill all of Azir's siblings and now one of them swore to kill Azir to retake the "stolen" throne?

I have always liked Xerath more in the lore then Azir, and likewise feel sad that the lore seems so extremely biased towards Azir. I love how evenly handed the civil war in Freljord is handled, and the latest lore changes even made Lissandra more reasonable. Yet it seems quite different in Shurima where Xerath is handled far more like a villain, rather then the ruthless maniacal power monger who still fundamentally wants to be a force for good. I always thought it would be neat if Xeraths power was used to defend against the powers of the Void to show that Shurima needs him but thats just me dreaming.

In a more serious and likely note, an update on the Shuriman story arch accompanying a new Shuriman champ that sides with Xerath would be pretty solid. Perhaps some Shuriman Warlord fighting against Noxian influence who doesnt trust Azir. (Afterall, the fall of Azir leading to the Darkin made me wonder if Shuriman people of the present would associate ascended in general with the dark legacy of the darkin fallen.)

Maybe Setaka who was reborned by the void as a corrupted ascended ?

Yeah, who doesn't want to be governed by a walking nuke who wants to enslave you?

No. Emotions are only distractions.
