A Question About Lissandra's Magic, and Inconsitencies In Her Lore

So, within her bio, it says that she was already powerful in her own right, but then made a deal with the Watcher's in exchange for more power. It also implies that Black/Dark Ice, the magic she uses, is simply True Ice that has been corrupted by the Void.

"The monstrous beings she had frozen were merely slumbering, slowly tainting the True Ice around them into something darker."

However, it also states on her Universe page, "The truth is perhaps more sinister, as she uses her elemental magic to twist the power of True Ice into something dark and terrible, entombing or impaling any who would reveal her deepest secrets."

So is Black/Dark Ice corrputed by the Void or Lissanrda, or is it because she was given powers from the Watchers, she to can use their "essence" and corrupt it the same way they do?

If my second guess was correct, this only opens up another hole in her story; Why would she want to corrupt True Ice?

She's supposedly actively searching for as much True Ice as she can find in order to halt the Watchers and keep them frozen, so corrupting it doesn't make any sense. Also, if Black/Dark Ice is True Ice that has been corrupted with the essence of the Void, that raises even bigger questions as to why she would corrupt it, since that would mean she's spreading the power of the very beings she's trying to stop.

This question doesn't have much to do with Lissandra or True Ice directly, but the original Iceborn were given their powers from the Three Sisters, who in turn were given their powers from the Watchers, so doesn't that mean that all Iceborn have some part/essence of the Void within themselves?

Finally, we have conflicting lore on how True Ice is made. On the Freljord Universe page, it says that True Ice occurs naturally over time, but in Lissandra's bio, it clearly implies that she made True Ice herself, when creating the barrier that's keeping the Watchers dormant.

"In that moment, her only choices were to let all the world be consumed, or to give up what she cared for most—Lissandra sacrificed her sisters and the allies they had gathered, entombing the Watchers beneath a glacial barrier of magical ice that could never be melted."

So does True Ice occur naturally, but it's actually the essence and power of an Iceborn after they've died, only transformed into ice, and Lissandra simply used her magic to advance this process at an incredibly rapid, almost instant, speed? Were this to be true, it only comes into more conflict wth what we know so far, because then that would mean, if my theory about the Iceborn having a piece of the Void within themselves were to be true, that would mean True Ice is also touched by the Void. Then what's the difference between True Ice and Black/Dark Ice, if they're both touched by the Void?

I think the Lissandra's current lore blurb is simply outdated, since she also had that blurb before her new bio. So I don't consider the lore blurb canon.

About the Iceborn being part Void - it's something I was wondering myself, and I think it's pretty interesting to dwell on the fact that Iceborn such as Ashe or Sejuani could actually be distantly part of the Void. However, it's not very well-explained, and so it probably requires either some clarifying from a Rioter or a future lore update to expand on this concept.

And lastly, not sure. I don't think it's quite that True Ice is the power of dead Iceborn. I can see it being that True Ice is both formed naturally and Lissandra is the only living Iceborn capable of making it (so maybe her Iceborn allies and sisters were the same), but again, these are just speculations from me.

... But then it does bring up the question, does that technically the powers of the Void are still in this True Ice, if they are the ones to create it? Come to think of it, does Lissandra still even wield True Ice? Or is it Dark Ice? Is she no longer able to make True Ice, and that's why she seeks it out from other sources?

I'm sure Riot has the answers somewhere (hopefully). But to be honest these are one of those times where the lore is kind of undeveloped and confusingly explained, with the answers scattered all across the internet instead of being found in one place. I can only hope Riot will provide answers soon.

Iceborns existed before the Void. It has nothing to do with it. Odin said that Dark Ice has some different properities so maybe that's why Lissandra is tainting it

See I asked that specific question of who corrupts rioters.. No real answer! Judging by the very text Watchers corrupt is 100% confirmed but Lissandras is kind of confirmed aswell. So I'D say both are corrupting the True Ice especially with the fact that the Watchers shared their power with Lissandra so no doubt they also gave (or she already had it) the power to corrupt.

Lissandra seeks True Ice to stop the watchers true. However she does not corrupt all True Ice as far as I know because even her Frost priest carry True Ice and Dark Ice around. She makes Dark Ice because it has different properties to it and offers incredible healing magic and True Ice doesn't. Well by that she isn't spreading really the power for them because the watchers can't really use the corrupted True Ice, they simply corrupt the True Ice because it would weaken it(see Dark ice is weaker in endurance) and free them.. When they're free they don't care about dark ice, they will simply consume everything. Only Lissandra can use Dark Ice and she spreads it on order to corrupt the Land of Freljord! Do you know about the skin Blackfrost Anivia? Yes if Freljord is corrupted Anivia would no longer protect it and she would no longer be in Lissandras way. Lissandra plots to remove Spirit Gods from their respected source of power. The Watchers are tainting True Ice simply because it will help them escape. They do not gain power with it and it doesn't help them in any way if Lissandra spreads it under her control.

No, True Ice occurs naturally that is the only way to find it. Now hold on this is a bit complicated and you need to read nunu's and gnar's lore. How Lissandra managed to entomb the watchers isn't her summoning true ice because she can't do that. The Yeti's had magical gems that were able to create true ice. In that moment when the Watchers errupted Lissandra forced the yeti's to make true ice and to literally exhaust theit gems forcing them into death and insanity PLUS all the iceborn had True Ice weapons and she used that True Ice aswell in order to seal the Watchers! So she used the yeti's magic to create true ice and probably every Iceborns weapon. So yes Lissandra then bound all the ice with her magic in order to entomb them. We also know that the Pillars which keep the watchers sealed have been made by yeti's! Now look this is gathered information and it's probably not all 100% correct because we still don't know a lot of the info but if you read other stories you can kinda imagine it.

No scrap the theory true ice has nothing to do with the void. True Ice is naturally occuring and Dark Ice is True Ice but turned dark for other properties like better healing and better stamina.
