which champ do you expect to get a VGU in the next road map? (VGU after swain ofc!)

For me, yes i'll be biased but with analysis to too support my candidate

Yes, you all know from the start that I hated Nunu and loved him a little but this guy deserves the next spot tbh.. from visuals to gameplay and even the date of his release, he is really outdated and really needs an update so bad. Not only that, but NUNU is a jungle/supp champ and the last one was Ivern, so if you'll ask me he needs the update. And it'll be a slap to my face if riot doesn't follow what they said or follow their rules in creating VGU's if the next candidate is a top/mid laner considering swain is to be a top/mid laner champ whilst opening the position for jungle, supp and adc to be rework because when i created my thread about nunu here, that he should be the next candidate after eve, reave3 told me that there should be no back to back champs with the same role/lane/position/faction to give other roles some spotlight so if that rule happens to be broken i'll riot, riot.

So in the higher tier list, Irelia, Pantheon, Mordekaiser, Akali, Kayle nor mundo should not be the next one to be updated even if i like them to be updated as soon as possible too because their positions is top or mid unless these champs migrates to the jungle kingdom, support city or adc plaza. Making NUNU grab the spotlight next after swain to receive the VGU.

if its not NUNU, riot should be honest/stand for for what they said and atleast give the position to a Jungler/Supp/Adc/any faction beside noxus/

Tl;dr:

Nunu should be the next candidate to receive a VGU and if you ask me, riot should prioritize the Big 3 first (Nunu Pantheon Mordekaiser ) before updating the other champs because they're the most requested out of all champs to receive a heavy update/VGU.

PS: I don't care if many people down vote this, I just want to say my sincere and honest opinions in regards to the next VGU candidate. SO if Riot could slap me with an irelia VGU, i'll be totally mad and lets stop for ionia for a while jeez

I want them to rework Nunu just because of how unfun he is to play as and against. This dude just builds full tank and strolls up to steal dragons and stuff, and early to mid game your ADC doesn't have enough stuff to kill him. I despise that character so much that I ban him in most ranked games (I'm a jungle main so having some stupid blue mass of 4 polygons roll up and take my stuff pisses me off)

As far as champions that I would play, I really want Pantheon. Imagine how cool pantheon would look keeping in mind the new lore. Still no face, red eyes blazing from behind a newly designed Targonian helmet, his cape can be deep red and use the tech from the Cosmic Xayah and Rakan skins to look like kind of a dark starlight. It would be amazing. I actually think they can make Panth a great champ with only a few major changes, keeping most of his kit around in some form or another kinda like the Warwick or Poppy updates that were just modernization.

I used to play Morde a bunch before they ruined him (IMO) in season 5 in that juggernaut update, I would love to see them completely rework him and bring him to the modern day. I feel like his ultimate is so cool, thematic, and must be kept as part of his kit with just a few minor tweaks, or at least have some form of ghostly champ enslavement in his kit, everything else is up for grabs and I wouldn't mind a major, major overhaul.

Those are my top 3, special mention to the dual Kayle/Morgana update they talked about. I love Kayle and wouldn't want her to change much but the two of them definitely don't fit into League anymore, both lore wise and pizza feet wise, and some minor gameplay changes while they're at it could be cool.

This would probably take 2 teams. If riot wanted to do this. it'd take a lot of resouces to get done. Another problem is that the idea of doing them together was IronStylus' and he's gone. Reav3/Meddler might want to get to one more than the other and do them separately.

A convincing argument for not doing them together is morgana still looks okay and she has a long dress. Riot hates doing dresses. These two things might cause her to go on the backburner for as long as possible.

Speaking of ideas, riot would have to have 2 strong ideas to rework both at the same time. If they've only got a good idea for one champ, they might split them up.

I hope its Vlad for one very simple reason: He's conceptually gorgeous. Regardless of promo/release materials quality, a beautiful champion will always get more love than an ugly one. Just look at latest releases:

  • Yorick? Hyped but soon forgotten.

  • Urgot? Same.

  • Ornn? Barely got noticed.

  • Kayn? Cute relatable kid quickly won the hearts of everyone and playrates are have been high for ages.

There is no doubt in my mind that Evelynn will be in every game post-release. In that train of thought, I believe Irelia is next for VGU and probably a great choice because popularity - wise the inequality goes

Hot/cute girl > hot/cute guy > plain/ugly guy > plain/ugly girl

And yes, no matter how you guys here feel, Urgot is ugly.

EDIT: holy shit I forgot, there's a chance we see Morgana's chest in high poly, yes please

Ok, i respect your opinion but i think vlad can't be the next one because swain is from noxus and riot states that there should be no back to back champ with the same role/lane/position/faction. But yes, vlad is indeed needs a rework and hopefully will see him the future :) and i think we should stop from ionia for a while, Irelia needs a VGU but not know cause i enjoy her play style till now and many people play irelia more than nunu tbh plus irelia is popular than nunu.

Sadly the Ionia fan train goes way too fast for any of us to stop it and also Reav3 himself hinted it might be her.

So, uh, toplane will be a no-go zone in a few patches.

and ionia is overrated. not because it is a massive continent but we just receive 3 players from that faction and giving another ionian a go is BS. If they can do that to zaun, why not ionia too...

Well, we still haven't got an Ionia lore update. While I do wish other fraction have their spotlight, Ionia needs an update, badly. I would love to get some information about other Ionians than Zed for change. But Riot has their favoritsm...

Good point. Urgot got released a while ago but I haven't seen a single Urgot in any of my games since. I think his VGU dropped the ball big time. Galio/Poppy/Taric were played quite alot during their releases.

He was considered weak after release and tbh, Urgot will never be that popular. Not because he isn't good when it comes to lore and gameplay, but simply because he doesn't resonate with alot of people.

He is a chemtech driven monstrosity, ugly by design and has a horror theme. That will always be less popular than for example a sexy fox lady. I love his rework, but that's because he is my taste since I absolutely love steampunk.

I just noticed that there is another point we should consider. Riot stated in the past that it is not good to release just dark themed VGUs all the time and that they should mix in some lighthearted from time to time.

Look at former VGUs. We got Warwick, dark. Followed by Galio, lighthearted. Then Urgot, dark. Evelynn and Swain come next, they are pretty dark as well.

So the next champion after Swain should have a friendly theme. Therefore, Nunu and Rammus both are very likely in my opinion. They both fit the bill completely.

Roles: Jungle Factions: Freljord or Shurima And they both have a friendly vibe to them.

Quinn I personally want a bit of a revert and quality of life update on Quinn My suggestions:

Q - Remove the mark q leaves as this is clunky, you often will q and then auto and that auto will not proc harrier you have to wait a few seconds after the q lands for valor to mark and then you auto making for a really awkward burst and engage and just doesn't feel good

E - I don't like how sometime when you e they will walk in the other direction and reach outside of your auto range so u end up marking them but are unable to auto them, sometimes u may flip over a wall and the wall pushes u again, out of auto range. I think adding the auto attack to the ability itself is best so when you are flipping back mid air quinn will shoot, this will feel a lot less clunky and add style points

R - Me and many other old school quinn players miss the old ultimate. I remember trying to only play quinn for a short period before the nerfs(rework) and she felt like an assassin, you go into bird form and just dash right to them and do massive burst, typically u have to pick the right target and time to engage but it felt almost like a nocturne ulti, with the items now such as edge of night and the new GA I can see old school quinn being extremely viable. If you want to leave the ulti the same then that's fine but make skystrike do something, it's like dropping snowflakes on them, it doesn't do anything it's just there for aesthetics. instead of it dealing next to no damage I'd like seeing it add a slow. Allowing for quinn to properly engage onto targets, and then any target targeted by e during ulti will end up being rooted by skystrike for a short duration, this will make her feel like the assassin she should be, people will be terrified when she is flying at you.

I agree Quinn should be streamlined more towards the Assassin role, but I don't think giving her a root is the way to go. If anything, she needs more ways to escape a fight after engaging one (perhaps by giving her more movement speed on Harrier proc, or some sort of reset mechanic on E), with compensatory nerfs to her range and attack speed steroid on W.

Volibear , becasue they arlready mentioned a new concept for him in the Ornn lore and we know that alrady 3 Vgus are in early thoughts,I guess the idea about a Voli reworked happend short after the team started on Ornn.

yes voli needs an update too but i think he's not the next. Maybe they'll give him the pantheon treatment first were lore was written first before VGU and it'll be unfair to pantheon players if they'll update voli first because pant was the first one to receive a lore update before voli and if that happens pant players will riot.

Visually and in terms of gameplay, probably Morde.

  1. He looks ugly as heck. I mean he's got a strong theme, but the model is just so old. He needs a visual modernization.
  2. I think he needs at least a partial revision on his update. Reworking him to be an "adc" for people who duo hasn't really worked out IMO.
  3. It'd be a good excuse to go and relook at rylai's, which used to be core on him.

My personal preferences: DrMundo or Rammus

Dr. Mundo has alot of gameplay problems and needs the VGU badly. But unfortunately, they are taking a break from Zaunites because of Warwick and Urgot, so he is unlikely. Which brings me to my other candidate.

Rammus. That guy has an outdated model, it's terrible. He is from Shurima, so no overlay with already represented regions in the VGU department. And he has so much potential, visually, gameplaywise and for lore.

Visually: I want Rammus to really live up to his title Armordillo. I want a dude who looks bulky, maybe he could be a demigod like Ornn related to the element earth and sand.

Gameplay: With Camille's release, we got the new feature of AD shields. Since Galio, as the prime anti magic tank got an AP shield in his kit, I would love to see an AD shield for Rammus, since he should be the prime anti AD tank. He could get an AoE taunt like Galio. They could increase the fantasy of him being a tower destroying tank (his ult works on them, but they could improve this even further).

Lore: We don't know much about Rammus, but the newly introduced category of demigods has alot of potential for him. We could get a bunch of ancient legends about Rammus just like we got them for Ornn. We could build on the cult that formed itself around Rammus. And he could get new interactions, for example with Brand, he is released in Shurima now and has destructive power, while Rammus, as a demigod of the earth, just wants to keep the status quo.

So please, give Rammus a new shell. He deserves it.

Nunu honestly. I want them to keep the different buffs for different bites mechanic, though, if they keep the bit at all. Maybe make the munches more impactful? Idk. Just want to see Nunu VGU.

I'd love for Mordekaiser to be next for two reasons: I played almost only him for 6 years and totally stopped after the "rework" is the first.
The second is that the lore hints that Mordekaiser's Immortal Bastion is the foundation of Noxus Prime, so if they redo Swain's lore to mention it, it would make sense that Mord's comes next.

VGU stands for Visual Gameplay Update, so if Fiddlesticks were to get a VGU his kit would be rebuilt from the ground up.

His model isn't too old, but is kit is in a pretty bad spot, and almost none has played him in quite a while. Meanwhile, his lore has already been re-written with ornn's release. I think he's got a very high chance of being the next VGU. And even if he isn't, he's definitely getting a rework next year.
