Not a new champ.

Rakan+Xayah were released on April 19th.

The GIF has a note saying May 29th.

They wouldn't release a new champion one month after the last one.

To be fair, the champ wouldn't go live until next month (at least) if this gif is about a new champ.

Could be a new champion. R + X were belated champs afterall, they were released 4 months after Camille, so Riot is trying to get back on track releasing things a bit sooner. The teaser being today (Friday the 26th of may) is about right as the PBE is updated on Tuesday (the 30th), where the patch 7.11 will hit live on Wednesday (the 31st) and the next patch wouldn't live hit till mid June (around the 14th).

They did say there is at least one more champion before Urgot afterall.

Am I the only one who thinks they were pulling our leg when they said "one more champ before urgot" since they said that before Rakan/Xayah were released which would put 2 champs between the quote and Urgot's release, and we did get two champions.

They didn't say two releases before Urgot, they said two champs, and we got duo champs.

I recall a Rioter stating that there will be another champ before Urgots rework and he said it after Xayahs and Rakans release.

THIS IS IT. So I'm not sure if you guys keep up with the leaks but there is a new mid/jg champ coming up I forget his name, (brofesco and redmercy both did a vid on it) but he should be released in patch 7.12 The gif does not seem to be any of the skins that has been leaked (unless this is a shin guard or shoulder guard for the demon blade yas skin) so if this not a teaser for Urggot's battle caster skin then that has to do something with the new champ.

The leak talking about the new mid/jg champ was declared fake by two rioters. However, there is still supposed to be a new champion before Urgot.

Those youtube channels aren't reliable sources of information because they both desperately try to be the first to report on any type of League-related news, without even checking whether they're true or false.

Azir was a month after Gnar. Rek'sai was a month after Kalista. Illaoi was a month after Kindred.

New Champions release when they're ready.

Urgot will likely come after the next champion,so it is unlikely to be him.(and even if he was it,I doubt that he'd have a robot face with clean metal) And that thing doesn't look like chemtech tryndamere at all.

Yeah that is true,but I'd say it is still unlikely,because Urgot was said to likely arrive after the next champ and I don't see much reason to tease his battlecast skin instead of him himself.

Your probably right, but it could be just to throw people off and make them think outside the box.

EDIT: I could imagine this being part of a cinematic that shows off all of Urgot's skins. Maybe it opens with this closeup of Battlecast Urgot and as it zooms out it changes to Crabgot, then Butcher, and finally Urgot.

I doubt Mordekaiser has power to rule the fire. Undead beings are usually afraid of fire, they don't use it. They are mostly in cold side of the spectrum.

Sadly that leak was confirmed as a fake, both on reddit and here on the boards. We'll have to wait and see the Urgot reveal to truly know what he looks like.

But why would they not say a leak is fake for every leak fake or not? Supposedly the leak is a 'backstab', something that shouldn't been done, naturally the creators wouldn't go "yup, true"

Because if the leak is actually true, we will find out the moment the content is released. And that means we will definitely find out that the person saying it is fake was lying to us.

Would harm their credibility without them getting much out of it, we will see that stuff later anyway. The better choice in that situation would be to stay quiet and don't say anything about the leak.

I personally wouldn't hate Riot for making that little lie, but let's be honest, there surely would be people backlashing about that.

They were silent on the previous leak. They wouldn't deny something that wasn't true. They don't want us to be misled and find out that we're all disappointed and raging about it if we took it as true when it wasn't.
