The Darkin use blood magic to change/shape their bodies, so technically Aatrox and I guess now Varus CAN have traditional skins.

Aatrox's old sword doesn't fit his new kit. That's why Justicar's sword got changed as well as seahunter. Just imaging how his old whip-like sword would feel with new trox and his kit especially Q; wouldn't be good
