I think it was resolved much to quickly, but I suppose the format dictates a swift resolution. I mean, seriously, Graves went through horrifying pain, held onto a grudge for years, and he got over it in one sentence?

No, more like stews on it for a couple of years, goes to Bilgewater in a dramatic final chase, comes a hair's breadth from death to realize that TF was telling the truth.

Then TF saves him and they both eat oranges.

I really like it that TF and Graves actually became friends again a nice progression to their story.

Although I kinda doubt that is truly dead. I mean yes,they said that champs can die now,but that simply seems to be too soon.I mean Gangplank himself almost didn't do anything during the whole event. It would even fit with his VO a bit considering that he asks for "[...] a good ship, and a bad crew." implying that he doesn't have one at that moment.

I am also surprised by Miss Fortunes character development,it looks like she became more ruthless now,not feeling satisfied despite getting her revenge on Gp.

One of two things happens with GP now.

He's not dead and plots a huge uprising against MF from the shadows.
He is dead and returns next time the Harrowing comes around to get his revenge.

I am also surprised by Miss Fortunes character development,it looks like she became more ruthless now,not feeling satisfied despite getting her revenge on Gp.

It's rare but yeah. Spooky Gangplank's probably not totally canon because he'd have to be ressurected by the Shadow Isles and that'd make him very green and he'd probably still be wearing his torn up clothes and not have a spectral version of them, but the event skins: Captain Fortune, Cutpurse TF and Cutthroat Graves are canon. The latter two are from years ago though, when they were younger and before Graves got locked up.

Well, I only started on the team in January. Before then I was just a player that loves lore too! I asked if we could do more and at the time there was a hesitance to tie skins explicitly with canon lore (which we often refer to as "Core IP") so these Bildgewater skins are testing the water. I think they turned out great though and I hope they are well enough received that the team can do more :)

I can't blame you since you're new, but why would Riot ever think like that? They've made plenty of lore skins before, seen the complaints about lack of lore, and have probably seen plenty of skin ideas involving lore.

There are good reasons, a few of which I can talk about:

Most players didn't engage with the old lore of LoL, and without context some of those old lore skins can seem confusing or weak thematics.
When choosing a theme for a champion's next skin we try to explore the options that are going to appeal to the most players of that champion, and so thematics that are visually stronger or have exciting particle hooks often win out.
The 750 tier didn't really exist and that's a great spot for a lot (not all) of skins that portray a Champion in their past/present or possibly future.
It's quite hard to imagine how a 'lore skin' is going to stand out from the base skin of a lot of champions. It was a challenge for the team to find a design for TF/Graves that we were confident in.
Even with them being tied to an event, how will people see these skins in the future without context? Will it encourage them to go and read the lore around them (I hope it does) or will they end up like Acolyte Lee Sin?

Also remember that, despite being mindful of the risks we still had the confidence to try again >:)

Man, just imagine pre-SI skins. If such a thing were ever possible. The best I could think would be Morde or maybe Eve. But always nice to imagine what those could look like. Or Ascension skins for Shurima! Ascended Sivir could be pretty sweet.

Yeah! I love the idea of origin skins that really add to a champion's lore. It would really reveal a lot about champs like Morde and Eve. Any of the Shadow Isles champs really. Vi might be cool too? Skins like Tyrant Swain that show a champ's 'full power' form are cool but I do like the origin ones because often the story there is a bigger surprise. Although for this event the origin skins of Graves and TF being back-to-back on the streets of Bildgewater was something we knew, while the MF skin was a big surprise!

Man, now I want a legendary skin of Amumu where it's of him before his death. Could answer alot of questions about his past (don't play him, but I'd love to see it). Origin skins are definitely a market you guys could sink time into and it would pay off for the people who love skins and love lore.

Please do more of these kind of Lore or alternate story skins, they are the best for us lore fans ^^

Imagine a world where Katarina betrayed Noxus to be with Garen (Demacian Katarina) A world where Shen lost the match and he became the master of the forbidden shadow art (Shadow Shen) A predeath Sion (no not the barbarian one, I mean a serious Noxian General)

Alternate story skins are super fun; if Udyr had stayed in Freljord and had Freljordian spirit animals, if Leona had condemned the Solari instead of embracing her role, if Kassadin had succumbed to the Void etc.

Lore skins are a little trickier because they carry a lot of weight being canon, but as a lore fan they are my favourite too!

guys i have a nooby question in act 3 on TwistedFate and Graves story we have to have 6win and hire 4 different brawlers or is it one or the other gets you the icon? ty for any response i get in advance :)

Both are required but they don't need to sync; you can complete the 4 different brawlers criteria even if you don't win the games.

You did it right this time Riot, now you have to go back and redo the Shurima & Freljord events. I wanna see more lasting effects on the League world too, like when we got the "Ionian boots of Lucidity" (amongst other things) from the Ionia vs Noxus show match
