Rune system based on runes from call of power cinematic?

Just watched the call of power cinematic and noticed resemblance between the rune colors and what we have in game. Ryze is missing one more rune (blue) and he has green yellow red and purple.

Are the runes based on ryzes collection? That would explain their power.
