When did the "War of the Three Sisters" take place?

Was it before the Watchers created the Iceborn?
Was it the name for the Iceborn's uprising, led by Avarosa, that culminated in the Watchers' defeat?
Was it a struggle for power after the Watchers were gone?
Was it after Avarosa's assassination?
Or is it referring to the war between Ashe, Sejuani and Lissandra going on right now?

It is quite vague. My guess: it was a conflict that took place after the Watcher's defeat, then leading up to Avarosa's death. Is there any clear information to when the War of the Three Sisters actually took place, though?

The War of the Three Sisters was after the Iceborn overthrew the Frozen Watchers, and included Avarosa's assassination. The war ended with all of Freljord being divided and fighting over every little scrap they needed to survive. It was the war between Avarosa, Serylda and Lissandra, who all had their own thoughts on how the Iceborn should live. As to how long ago though, thousands of years ago is probably the safest bet.

From what we know,the freljord was united under the regin of the watchers(at least lissandra and avarosa were working for them,until avarosa started to rebel against them),so the war of the 3 sisters had to take place afterwards. The 3 sisters are Avarosa,Serylda and Lissandra and since the war was among them,it couldn't take place after avarosas assassination,so the assassination happened after or during the war.

I think that it's referring to the war between Avarosa, Serylda and Lissandra and one of its main causes, if I remember correctly, were the Watchers (and Lisssandra). Not sure though.

I didn't remember Avarosa getting assassinated- I thought it was only Mauvle/Lissandra who were assassinated. I might wanna go and read some lore again. :P
