They got rid of his "Master of Metal" title since it implied that he has Magneto-like powers, which he doesn't.

References to Metal (as in the musical genre), are perfectly okay on him, in Riot's book.

Oh, he still does. Have you read his new backstory?

"A heavy iron portcullis barred Mordekaiser’s advance. The revenant extended a gauntleted hand and made a wrenching motion in the air. The lattice ironwork screamed in protest as it was twisted out of shape before being hurled contemptuously aside, revealing the heavy oak gate beyond."

Yes, he has them. In the lore. The champions' titles serve primarily to describe the champion both thematically and in gameplay.

For example, Gangplank practices bonecarving on bones still attached to a living person as a hobby in his lore, but having his title be "The Bonecarver" would be a mistake, as he does no such thing gameplay-wise.

No! No! NO You're using the wrong reference. Of course there's a song by the name of Nightfall. A lot of metal songs have Nightfall in their name.

You need the DEATH METAL BAND named Nightfall.
