Needs an update right? His model didn't change since his release in 2009 and he clearly needs an update
Please riot!!! I hope in the next roadmap we could see him as the next candidate. If the next one is irelia, i'll riot, riot!! cause you didn't stick from what you said about no back to back champions >:(

His model is just as outdated and he fulfills all points you made for Nunu as well.
Role: Jungler (no overlay with the roles top and mid) Faction: Shurima (no overlay with Swain who comes from Noxus) He has a friendly theme, not dark like last releases.
So, please Riot, make Rammus OK again!
EDIT: And I have to point out that Irelia is possible since it isn't really back to back. Irelia is most likely a top laner, while they could rework Swain to be a mid laner primarily. It already happened in the past. We got Galio, who was designed for the positions top and mid. Then we got Urgot, another top laner. But it didn't really matter, since Galio is a mid laner as well.

In general it is kinda hard for the update team to avoid overlapping roles,as a lot of champs on the rework list are junglers and toplaners.
Sure there are a few on it who work in other positions as well,like 
for example,but top laners and junglers make up the majority of the list.
Chembaron Yamada2 votesWell, at least there are 2 roles really common in that list: Top laner and jungler. That means that they can at least alternate between these 2 roles. So technically, no overlay of roles there as long as they are able to alternate these.
The last information about the tier 1 list for VGUs (this can always change, though) I had, said that these champions are included.
If we assume that they won't shift champions into completely other positions than they used to, that means we got in that list:
6 Top Laner
6 Jungler
1 Mid Laner
And 1 Support
So yes, there are alot more jungler and top laner in that list than other roles. but since it is an equal number so far, they can easily avoid overlaying by simply alternating between these and the other 2 (Morgana and Akali) get mixed in somewhere in between.

Wouldn't change anything about the "jungle and top alternating", since the last planned champ right now is Swain, a top laner. So having 1 less top laner than jungler doesn't change anything. My main point was that it is absolutely possible for them to rework these champs without having a champion of the same role 2 times in a row. ^^

Chembaron Yamada3 votesHe means it would be back to back, since Swain is going to be most likely designed for the top and mid lane. Irelia will probably still be a top laner after her rework. And that would mean that we get 2 top laner in a row, which Riot wants to avoid.
With that in mind, I have to agree that a jungler seems likely for the next VGU. But we can just speculate at this point.

I'm fine with him being in-lane, but he needs to be interactive there. He can't just wear me down with constant E's, and then heal back whatever I deal to him with his Q. His Q needs to lose something. Either the heal or the high true damage.
