Anybody else disappointed in SKT Jhin?

As the title says, doesn't look anywhere near as good as Blood Moon and if you read the youtube comments on nearly every SKT video you will find people saying the same thing about Jhin

I mean when he recalls you see the cool T1 logo under his feet, but when you do the Ulti there is no logo, this is sooooo fail everybody was expecting the T1 logo when he did his Ulti.

IMO the skin isn't really bad but its certainly a disappointment and majority of the youtube comments agree on it.

I am holding out on a Legendary Jhin Skin, hoping it comes later this year. The quality of Legendary is usually a lot better for just $5 more, but I will use bloodmoon in the meanwhile.

I am. I want champions to have real skins......I look at the esports skins as they dont count. But Riot does.....Kalsita suffers just like jhin, and they wont give her a real skin. I really hate Riot for that.

Jhin just got Blood Moon, chill the fuck out lol. There are champs that came out before him that STILL haven't gotten a skin.

My point is, Riot makes these team skins and will use that to suffice for an actual skin. How about Kalista? I know he got blood moon, But thats not my point.

Riot has said that Esports skins don't count, and I'd say Karma and Jhin prove that to be true. Kalista is in th egarbage can, so I don't think she'll get a skin until she gets a rework.

It's more that a lot of people love SKT/esports and want to celebrate them. For this year's SKT skins for example, the players told us what they wanted for concept/recalls/etc, so we were really able to personalize the skins to the taste of the players. If we're looking at scope, making an SKT skin isn't easier than making any other skin, it's an aesthetic choice. If it's not your cup of tea, that's cool too! :D

Why doesn't Jhin have the T1 logo under his feet when he does his Ulti? wouldn't it make more sense to use it here and not just his recall animation?

................. So a champion who can definitely fit in an existing skin line can always be missed because majority of players would rather have a skin of their favorite teams. This majority you speak of probably doesn't care about lore or any kind of AU skin lore. Kalista's last two skins came from this. And if the need comes, you'd give her another like it to satisfy this Majority. Ok gotcha.

Sorry but Jhin is GOLD, Jhin is one of a kind, not often do you see a company come out with a hero like this and I don't mean just LoL I mean any game in the world you will never find another character as awesome as Jhin. And I have played over 12,000 hours of DOTA 2 and HoN so I know what I am talking about.

So you are going to have to excuse me for being disappointed in his very mediocre SKT and the fact that he does not yet have a Legendary Skin. Other champs can wait, Jhin has been the star boy of ESPORTS you hear the excitement in all the commentators voice when they say here comes the curtain call. For what its worth his Blood Moon is very nice but I am excited to see his legendary hopefully this year.

Jhin is barely a year and a half old, and he has 3 skins plus his base. That's more than some champs that are several years old.

Jhin being a well-designed champ(which is debatable) is irrelevant to him getting skins, champs don't get a legendary until they've been around for a while. Lee Sin is the most popular champ in the game and it took 4 years for him to get a legendary skin. Jhin might get one when he's like 3 years old, but not before.

why do they waste time with these SKT skins? nobody wants this. An example of very good quality skins is like Pulsefire Caitlyn this is what they should be spending their time on, making proper skins. Who cares if it costs $5 more for a legendary skin? the quality is atleast 10 times better

I'm not going to question Riot Games for the decisions they make in regards to what kinds of skins they decide to release. It's your game so it's your choice. However, I do have a issue with the current pricing model. A lot of recent skins that have been priced at 1350 RP don't have any business being that expensive. Furthermore, a lot of older (poorer quality) skins should have been discounted but are still sitting at unreasonable prices. There isn't any reason for a skin like Warring Kingdoms Xin Zhao to still be 1350 RP. You should probably decide on a more reasonable pricing model for older skins that have depreciated in value before you continue working on ideas for future skins. Just my feedback.

$10 for older skins of good quality is fine, remember Riot updated all Miss Fortune skins for example. If you go play Heroes of Newerth all of their old skins have never been updated they look like crap now and frostburn studios still charges the same $10 to $20 for those skins and they refuse to update their old ultimate skins either.

so in comparison those $10 prices you see for old skins in LoL are actually a good price because they aren't exactly old they were updated in recent years.

Besides who cares about old skins? once Legendary and Ultimate skins are released, everything before it is meaningless. I will happily pay extra money for better graphics

But this isn't Heroes of Newerth, it's League of Legends. They're two different games. Just because most people cross the street when the "Don't Walk" sign is flashing, that doesn't mean it's okay for everyone to do it. Just because several studios may neglect updating and/or reducing the price of depreciated content, that doesn't mean it's okay for the largest MOBA in the world to do it too.

Besides who cares about old skins?

Everyone has their own tastes.

I understand the point you are making but given that Riot updated most if not all their old skins its still technically worth the $10 or $8 or whatever. My point about HoN is that they ask the same price and most cases a lot more for old skins that was never updated and look like garbage now, while Riot actually went back and updated the old skins so there is little to complain about in terms of pricing really, I think LoL's biggest problem is charging money for a champion thats kinda stupid these heroes/champions are free in dota 2 and hon but hey whatever floats their boat if it means charging all that money resulted in the invention of Jhin then i am fine with it.

Updated most, if not all of their old skins? Since when? I've been playing this game for almost the last 4 years and the only update they've done to the vast majority of older skin was that "texture update" they did back in season 4 or 5. And you expect people to pay top dollar because they put lipstick on a pig and tried to pawn it off as a supermodel?

Speaking of Super Models all female skins should look like Super Models and have long hair. I hate short hair feminist looks with hairy armpits and tiny boobs etc I really hope that does not become an issue in this game. Because the SJW feminist movement has ruined a number of games I loved which I have taken a stance and no longer give those companies my money.

Yeah I agree having variety is good, I like having the more expensive skin while someone else has to settle for the cheaper one and they end up getting jelly at my more expensive skin so you are right about that one with variety.

Yes please more Legendary skins, I just wanna say for years I swore never to play this game because of how bad the ingame skins looked in comparison to their splash art. Then one day a friend send me the video for Caitlyn Pulsefire skin and I went and immediately downloaded this game and never looked back.

If its going to cost $15 or hell $25 for a skin that actually looks like the splash art and has QUALITY put into it then I will happily spend the money instead of having Riot release cheap skins where I end up leaving them sitting in the store waiting for legendary version. I mean look how awesome Nightbringer Yasuo looks in comparison to anything before him.

A little disappointed in dawnbringer riven because she is not as colorful as the splash art and the leg armor makes her look weird as if the hips are too wide. Where as Nightbringer is perfect.

Why does it matter? they are bad, I mean Jhin doesn't even have a new Ultimate Sound. And the effects are boring and when he does his Ulti you would think there would be the cool glowing T1 logo under his feet but not even that, its so bad the only good part about it is the recall animation.

Actually he does now on the PBE. They will be in patch 7.14 with the updated sounds. But in patch 7.13 they won't have those.

I don't think that Jhin will get a legendary this year, Jhin is now about 1,5 year old and has already 3 skins that is much for a new champion, Jinx got a legendary and she now about 3-4 years, same with yasuo also 3 years.
