Headhunter Caitlyn verses Lunar Wraith Caitlyn, Skin Pricing Inconsistency and Favouritism

Skins have had inconsistent pricing ever since the 1350 RP tier has become the norm. A recent example is Warring Kingdoms Azir vs Garen. I don't think it is fair for Garen to be the same price as Azir considering the amount of models and particles needed for Azir while Garen has much less particles. You could argue that Riot does not care about how difficult it is to create a skin for a specific champion thus leaving prices the same, but, Riot hasn't made a Zyra skin for quite some time due to her being model intensive with all her plants and abilities with thorns in them. I do not know anything about the process Riot goes through while creating skins but the fact they say this about Zyra and then proceed to make Azir skins (which has a unique tower model, soldier model, ultimate model) with no problems shows there is a clear case of favouritism. Heartseeker Quinn is at 975 due to having less particles than Heartseeker Lucian.

Another example of price inconsistency can be seen in skins such as Order of the Lotus Karma vs Winter Wonder Karma and Lunar Wraith Caitlyn vs Headhunter Caitlyn. To explain what I mean I will compare Headhunter and Lunar Wraith Caitlyn.

1). Lunar Wraith Caitlyn 1350 RP

• It looks very obvious that the people that worked on this skin rushed it or did not care. Her Passive particle around her hands is a recolour of her base which is sad for a 1350 RP skin.
• The same goes for her ultimate where her Particle during her ultimate channel is the same cog as her base skin except a different colour.
• Her hair has no rig thus having no animation and is stationary. Just overall laziness, when Lunar Wraith Morgana received complaints her price was reduced and she got updates showing that they favour her over Caitlyn.
• Radiant Wunkong who was released along side Lunar Wraith Caitlyn and Morgana is 1350 but has a voice processor which pushes him to the 1350 tier. Caitlyn does not feel like a "Lunar Wraith" with her current voice on that skin. Comments on asking why a voice processor was not needed states that it takes time to do one and "it wasn't necessary" which makes no sense as her voice over does not fit the theme AT ALL and as I mentioned Radiant Wukong at the same price tier received voice filter so that is no way an excuse.
• Has a shared splash art which in my opinion reduces the quality of skins unless it is done well like the second batch of Pool Party skins.

2). Headhunter 975 RP

• Is 975 and is a MUCH higher quality.
• Her Visor and Rifle have complete new animations just for that skin, during her Q, headshot and crits the visor goes down and covers her face. Same goes for the recall.
• Her rifle has some pretty cool Q pop out during the cast time. It has cool new animations during ever ability.
• Single splash art.
• Unique Headshot indicator particle (which btw looks AMAZING)
• Unique Ultimate Indicator particle (Not a recoloured cog)

Comparing the two I'm surprised Headhunter is cheaper at 975 while being eligible for discounts. Lunar Wraith is 1350 RP and a legacy skin meaning it was not eligible for early sales and the 50% off sales. I have owned Lunar Wraith Caitlyn since last year when it was released but regret my decision as I should not have purchased this giving Riot the message that I as a player agree with their decisions regarding pricing. I fail to see how this is not a case of inconsistent pricing, please do not use the excuse that Headhunter is a 1350 RP tier at 975 because there are other skins out there (Steel Legion Lux, new particles, recall, animations for auto attack/run/staff) which have the same work as Headhunter and are 975.

This could all be resolved with better communication from Riot's part. Maybe there are things I do not see justifying what I think is plain out wrong. Riot also needs to compare the skin they are working on to be released to that champion's previous skins not their criteria of pricing as it has its flaws.

Please note that this is my opinion and that I may be completely wrong.

TL;DR: Riot sometimes pushes skins to the 1350 RP tier when they should be 975 tier causing inconsistent pricing. Riot needs to communicate more and maybe have feedback threads on the official forums not just PBE forums so everyone can participate on what they think of a skin while it is on the PBE even if they do not have a PBE account. Riot's reasoning behind somethings such as Lunar Wraith Caitlyn voice filter can be viewed as favouritism or laziness due to poor communication.
