So I went around Fiddlesticks champion page today and now I want to talk about him

Fiddlesticks | League of Legends

Mainly because I found that he was lacking even more lore than usual! For the record I checked the client and that still has his old lore; this change is only on the website.

Now I understand this is likely a bug, and considering that there's still issues with the champion pages in a variety of ways, including the background art and the presented lore (The Targonians and Shurimans haven't had their new lore added yet), something like this is understandable right now, but I find it weird that this specific problem of having the lore be just gone affects only Fiddlesticks, especially considering his lore hasn't been changed recently in any capacity.

So now I'm wondering if new Fiddlesticks lore is coming soon. Probably not because this is likely just a bug, but regardless what kind of angles do you think they could approach Fiddlesticks's character from? He's practically a blank slate so anything goes really.

Fiddle has been up for a lore update for... well, years at this point. Considering the amount of people who love him and the sheer number of new school horror/science-fiction/strange fiction writers on staff these days I'd wager something cool is coming down the pipes...

A few of us on S@20 were thinking Fiddlesticks and Nocturne could be transitioned into Shadow Isles champions. The transition wouldn't be that difficult and would be very fitting for them. Fiddlesticks could be the incarnation of a man killed along with his family by the inhabitants of the Shadow Isles, back to avenge them and Nocturne, would still be Nocturne... Nightmares and the Shadow Isles pretty much already go hand in hand. He'd just need a flashy new model and kit to match his new home.

I feel like they should stay away from the Shadow Isles personally. The crows and nightmares aspect is something I feel can be strong in its own right without having to merge it with death magic. If anything I'd be inclined to believe Nocturne was a sort of ancient nightmare demon who derived sustenance from tormenting and killing people in their dreams. A different take on the demon angle from Tahm Kench, where Tahm wait for meals to come to him while Nocturne actively hunts for prey so to speak.

They are probably demons like Tahm Kench, or maybe Darkins??? OR MAYBE DARKIN SERVANTS???

I read an idea for them(and Shaco) that they are demons like Tahm, birthed from the negative emotions. Shaco being madness, Fiddle being fear, Nocturn being despair/isolation/paranoia(I can't remember which)

It would be nice to have more demons in League.

I believe they said that they had someone working on the lore of all the people whose existence relies on the League of Legends.

They are, and I'm happy for that, it's just odd that Fiddlesticks is like this and only he is like this. That's why I wanted to discuss him and his potential lore in a general sense.

I was hoping they would revolve the story around the key previously hanging around his neck, but that seems to have been removed. What does excite me is the prospect of learning more about what a demon might be in the LoL universe. If I had to take a guess though, Fiddle will be some average Joe who dipped their toes a little too deep into dark magic. If there has to be one piece of lore that I am most excited about, it'd have to be Shaco.

I like the idea of Fiddlesticks being a demonic harbinger who appears to herald the arrival of demons in to the physical world. I could see Fiddlesticks as a being with variable but similar physical forms who haunts areas when specific kinds of demons come around to torment people.

I've been very pleased with the Lore team as of late, I just hope the can avoid overlap with our other spookier characters. I specifically like how they have clearly defined that the undead has nothing to do with spirits or demons.

This looks like a good time to re introduce the voodoo lands then. Although give it a better name obviously. But in a land where there are dark mages, i'd agree that in-animate object can move on their own with the help of dark magic. If it's still canon that, that land where a whole bunch of exile mages from Noxus is, than this is where Fiddle needs to come from.

I'd imagine that Nocturne haunted areas like Tahm Kench does. maybe even around the same area. Perhaps he could still be the result of a bad nightmare that some how came to be on the physical plane. I could see this mystery land where annie hails from as a very possible place for the two.

Tahm doesn't haunt anything, he can time travel. He's like a crossroads demon, he offers deals for people who are desperate enough to say yes.

Yes, he haunts rivers. That's what anything that isn't quite on the physical realm does. They haunt areas.

He doesn't haunt rivers, his current form is just based on what the gambling river folk in Bilgewater saw. The gambler was used to rivers, so he got a catfish.

The issue with Fiddlesticks' lore is that his entire identity was tied to the Institute. His existence in the game was due to a Summoner's screwup. But now he has nothing to go on.
