Still no Volibear update every w/ more Freljord stories?

I’m super confused. Volibear’s current lore has page been non-canon since the release of Ornn... over a year and a half ago. Since Ornn’s lore release, we know that everything about volibear on his lore page is completely false, yet there isn’t any update to him. Even now with the release of Ashe- Warmother and more Freljord lore stories, there’s is still no Volibear update. Volibear is one of the game’s oldest champions and you riot just leaves him in the dust and rather focuses on making Disney character rip-offs.

Yeah the main reason behind that is no one gives a shit about Voli and nothing is gonna happen with him until he gets VGU'd

I'm guessing they want to avoid a Mordekaiser and Pantheon situation. Those champions have canon lore and are arguably the most important characters in their respective regions, yet now that they are up for VGUs it's clear lore changes still need to be made. They've confirmed Mordekaiser is getting a rewrite but they're keeping a lot of his current lore, but still people will be unhappy if it doesn't go over well.

I want Volibear lore and a VGU as well though, everything we know about him from other characters is awesome. Hopefully he'll get the changes he deserves soon.

Curious, how do you feel about the whole 1000 pierced bear idea?

Personally not a fan of it, or how I am imagining how his design willl change with a bunch of shit poking out of him.
