10/6 PBE Update

Courtesy of Surrender@20 and the amazing work they do, we're recieving updated skin splashes for Ezreal, Brand, Wukong and Master Yi. Now Riot, you know the inferno you have brought with this, so some questions for you, to get them out of the way quick!

  • Is this a trend we'll see continuing in the future? If so can we expect it more regularly or as a sort of one off every few patches?
  • Why these skins? I'd imagine it's because the splash art was so egregious you wanted them changed but some clarification would help.
  • Are you prepared for how many people are going to be yelling at you for not updating splash art for Nidalee and so many other champions?

EDIT: Sorry, forget to mention, this isn't me being insistent or pushing for more skin updates are anything, I wanted to make this as a buffer so folks don't have to constantly ask questions pertaining to this stuff. Would love more splash updates; not wanting everywhere to be flooded with "NIDALEE SPLASH ART WHERE" posts and the like.

Wow, they all look pretty amazing. Vandal Brand I especially like. That's just such a boost in personality.

...Jade Dragon Wukong though, I've gotta admit I have some mixed feelings about. The art itself looks pretty beautiful, but why the shift in tone? His old splash gave off a much more calm, controlled air to me, while between the looser stance and angry facial expression the new one feels much more aggressive. Considering both his other skins come off as pretty aggressive already, I kind of liked Jade Dragon having that contrast.

I'm not sure if its something that can be changed at this point, but personally I'd really appreciate a shift back in that direction.

Holy shit, Riot actually updated skin splashes? Someone stop the presses, the apocalypse is upon us!

In all actuality, I'm very excited for these updates - but it does come with a lot of questions, as you've said. Are we just getting these splashes update? And if so, why? Does this mean more skin splash updates are on the way? Hopefully we're getting an explanation soon

Good to know that Assassin Yi doesn't have a trash-tier splash anymore, at least :P

Meanwhile, Karma 's splash arts are still not matching her skins at all. (Which the exception of her new ones.)

Before I just seem like I'm bitching though, I'm really happy Riot's updating skin splashes, that's pretty awesome!

I don't like Yi but that Chosen Master Yi and Assassain Master Yi skin splash art is so good.

Wow... I'm terribly surprise they're taking the time to actually update the splash arts for skins. Some need it badly.

I do have a question for Riot, will the legacy skins get an updated splash art too? Or just those that are purchasable?

That said, I'm also more surprise of some of their choices to update first as there's other skin splash that are terribad than those they decided to update in the first batch. Especially Junkyard Trundle, French Maid Nidalee, Sun Goddess Karma and even Bandit Sivir.

Assassin Master Yi has the exact same colour scheme as Classic Shen.

I think one that needs to badly be redone is spectacular Sivir I adore the skin in game so very much but I hate when i have to see the splash art when im on the loading screen. I am glad to see some other splashes are getting the updates they need though.

Love the new MasterYi , Brand and Ezreal Splashes...

but I think Wukong's Jade Dragon splash is not as good as his first one.

It has the same issue as his original splash remake. Why do they constantly make Wu look so ugly in some of his splashes?

In his base splash he looks confident, energetic and (dare I say it) kinda sexy with his cheeky grin and powerful eyes. MonkeyKing

This new one makes him look old, grumpy and pissed off. I just don't think it fits his character. The first Jade splash at least has the cheeky youthful grin.

So yeah, either make his face look better or stick with the original.

PS. Also make sure to sort out Akali, Sivir, Nidalee, Karma and Trundle ASAP. Some true splash horrors amongst them.

Vandal Brands new splash fits him so much more than the old one. The this one looks more devious. I thought they should've renamed the skin Loaner Brand with the old splash. It fits the skin profile so much better now.

idk why jade dragon got updated and not general wukong. jade was ok and is one of hes better skins but general is so boring, or maybe thats why and they are just going to make it a legacy skin soon. better to lock it away for no one to see than to try to improve it.
