Lorewise how powerful is Leblanc?
I was just wondering based off lore and feats just how powerful is Leblanc?
Is she mid-tier around standard mages like

People sell LeBlanc so short, it's rather disappointing. An evocation wizard of the 20th level doesn't instagib a level 20 illusion specialist just because their skills are more combat-oriented.
From what we know of her, LeBlanc is:
- older than and has been active before Mordekaiser rose to power
- can appear in multiple places at the same time
- has a genius intellect so far only matched by Swain
- single-handedly puppeteered an empire for centuries
- keeps the Black Rose in check (and at her beck and call)
- possesses ridiculous amounts of information and magical artifacts
- has agents everywhere
- changes identities constantly
- manipulating affairs in several countries
Furthermore, the amount of champions she's directly or indirectly influenced (some of which are major characters) is incredible. She's more than a match magically for someone like Ryze or Syndra (though perhaps not Xerath), even if she doesn't personally engage in battle.
LeBlanc is incredibly knowledgeable about the dark arts. She is among the most powerful mages of the Black Rose, if not the most powerful.
Mid tier, I believe.
Her spells are primarily illusion oriented and probably don't have that much destructive power behind them.
She's definitely not weak, but comparing her to Syndra and Ryze would be overstatements.
It's a bit sad her lore is so vague. I hope we can get a color story with her soon.
How on earth are ppl saying that LB doesn't have destructive or harmful spells, when we KNOW that she has 3 spells, at least, that have an offensive purpose. I don't think that a character's abilities in-game are that divorced from how they are supposed to be portrayed in lore, and let's not forget that LB is part of a powerfull secret society in Noxus, a place where the ability to get rid of people is key to gaining power. LB probably has spells catered to assassinating individual targets, which would mesh well with her illusions, and which would coincide with her portrayal in-game.
That said, LB is still obviously mid-tier, simply due to the fact that she is a mortal mage, however skilled, and she cant compete with the kind of beings that occupy higher tiers.
on a side note how is Ryze not god tier since he clearly is strong enough to hold World Runes without them affecting him, arent world runes able break and recreate the fabric of space with their immense magic power?
Technique is 100, but actually power is around like 65 to 75.
She's incredibly skilled at illusion, deception, and the long con, but generally avoids seeing to things herself since she is weak when threatened in a one-on-one scenario without the help of her illusions.
I think she's mid tier like Lux in terms of raw power but her sheer cunning and experience probably puts her on a higher end of the spectrum. Best comparison I can pull is for anyone watches or read BNHA, when Mirio shits on class 1A, not because his quirk is strong but because of the amount skill and experience
By her thematic itself we will never know. But from the hints that her lore appreances have I can say that he is high-tier probably just below Xerath and the Ascended.
In my mind theres two options:
- She is a high tier mage due to the fact that she survived and has been alive for a long time,also her magic seems to require a lot of power.. 2.More probable: She is a mid Tier mage,however incredibly knowledgable on illusions and manipulation and that due to how long shes been alive and collecting that knowledge! I think shes as powerful as Lux however incredibly smart and manipulative,giving her an Advantage over Lux.. Sometimes power is not required to beat an enemy but a good tactic.. On raw power she seems Meh!
We really don't know. But from what we saw he powers are mostly based on illusions. Her magic isn't harming nor destructive.
