If "Awaken" is confirmed as possible future canon, then how much of "The Climb" could be canon too?
So the events of "Awaken" have been confirmed to be possible, even likely, events in future canon. But what does this mean about last year's "The Climb", which also featured little worldbuilding scenes, even though they weren't as big and impactful? Could these scenes possibly be canon too?
Yasuo vs Some Legion of Archers: This one seems pretty likely, whether it be Yasuo running from Ionians after he had to kill his brother or, more likely, fighting Noxians in the present. Not too much speculation; it would be easy to make this canon.
Taliyah vs Xerath: This one seems least likely to be canon, at least, given what we know of how things are in the present. Why would Xerath be fighting Taliyah specifically? (although since we can't see Xerath himself, it's possible that he could be fighting multiple people at once across this stretch of land) We know from her voice lines that Taliyah wants to talk to Sivir about making her decision on what to do about her great-great-grandfather's reign, plans, and his legacy, since she is his only heir. I think it's possible that, if Taliyah and Sivir manage to give good advice to Azir that make things go worse for Xerath, he could very well be pretty angry with Taliyah.
Ekko and Blitzcrank vs Some Zaun Criminals: This one, on the other hand, seems the most likely to be canon. Helping out the people of Zaun and fighting off criminals is exactly the thing Ekko and Blitzcrank are doing now, and they could easily work together if the situation calls for it.
Miss Fortune vs Nagakebouros Tentacles (presumably): This one is probably more representative than canon, I think. It seems to be a representation of taking the test of Nagakebouros, and, as hinted by Illaoi's voicelines, Miss Fortune would definitely pass this test. It could be a future canon scene of her being given the test for real in the future, but it could just as easily be hypothetical.
Lucian vs Thresh and Shadow Isles Corpses: This one I think is possible future canon, even likely. We know that Lucian found out that Senna is still alive, being eternally tortured by Thresh. If he makes a plan to go in and save her somehow, this could easily be part of that fight. However, we have no idea when or how this could happen in relation to the larger Shadow Isles issue.
So what do you guys think? Could "The Climb" be canon or partly canon? And, if possible, could any Rioters confirm or hint if it is or not?
