Plan for vintage Limited Edition skins

So, another skin that was advertised as a "one time only" sale is hitting the store. As an owner of the original Kitty Katarina AND Championship Riven.. I find myself much less off put by this resale. Actually happy with how Riot handled it- though holding a question now.

There is much less "this sucks" associated with this- last time Riot decided to do this they refunded the 975 RP, and offered a summoner icon / load screen border. The summoner icon is rather bland and the load screen is hardly something you noticed.

This time around they went a route that I think a LOT more owners of the skin will appreciate! They changed her in game model via a circlet / sword glow in game. The skin has retained its unique-ness for players who purchased it that long ago which is what I think is most important to said owners.

So, my question is this. Riot, is there any chance that you can show the same love to previous re-releases of skins that were promised to never release again? I understand that you'll not be making any money off said changes, but I think the owners of those skins would appreciate it greatly.

Katarina

PS: I'd even be willing to repay the refunded 975.

PPS: I provided a link to all skins that were listed in that category.

The fact that they refunded the RP for 34 formerly Limited skins says a lot. That's not something they would do if the owners of these skins weren't a notable minority at that time. Since Kitty Kat has been made slightly more available through Personalized Stores, Harrowing sales (which no longer ties to Halloween) and Hextech in General, the ownership has skyrocketed to 95,000 owners (65th Overall according to Elophant).

Obviously I don't have access to the ownership numbers prior to the decision to release those skins. But Championship Riven has 35000 owners, a number that I suspect is much higher than the ownership of any of the 34 previously released. I think this was just a case of cost analysis here. The cost of adding vintage traits to Championship was favorable to the prospect of refunding that skin.
