so i made this theory a while back and now that we are getting closer to the aatrox rework i decided to post it

so guys i have a theory for the darkin, please do note this is also inspired by other theories as well but here i go. So there is 5 darkins in the known universe, and i believe this is related to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, yes, i know i wrote 5 darkins and 4 horsemen and i will come to that. So we have aatrox-sword-horseman of war kayn-scythe-horseman of death varus-bow-horseman of conquest ???-axe-famine but there is actually a fifth horseman of the apocalypse, except that this one is a woman and is called the horseman of providence, the one that cleans up after the other 4 horsemen and is equipped with extremely powerful healing abilities to heal the destruction the other 4 causes as they move so what i believe is that riot is actually in the procedure of creating a teamcomp of just darkin characters aatrox-top kayn-jungle varus-adc providence-???-support famine-???-mid. so what is your opinion guys, would love to hear what you think. ps-if you wonder how i chose what character as what horseman is that the horsemen is always pictured with a special weapon, like war that always have sword for example

So there are 5 Darkins in the known Runeterra universe, and I believe that this is related to the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Yes, I know I wrote 5 Darkins and 4 horsemen and I will come to that soon.

So we have:

  • Aatrox + sword = Horseman of War
  • Kayn + scythe = Horseman of Death
  • Varus + bow = Horseman of Conquest
  • Champion X + axe = Horseman of Famine

But there is actually a fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse, except that this one is a woman who is called the Horseman of Providence.   • Aatrox = Top
  • Kayn = Jungle
  • Varus = ADC
  • Champion Y = Providence Support
  • Champion X = Famine Mid

In addition to the post itself, I think that is exactly what Riot is trying to make. I mean they already teased in Varus's comic that he was in search of his sister. Suggesting a Female Darkin.

I think it would be really cool to have a full teamcomp who are all Darkins. What would be even better is if there was a quest in-game that happens if they are all on the same team, or opposite teams, kind of like if Sejuani, Ashe or Lissandra are matched against each other or even Kha'Zix against Rengar that's just my opinion.

After the Aatrox rework goes live, I assume there will be a lot of Darkin lore coming up. Clearing up any questions that we might have.

I honestly have never heard of this 5th horsemen until now and can't even find much information about her on the internet,so I'd say it is more likely that the 5th one would be Pestilence who replaces Conquest in some versions(and going by that,Varus might represent Pestilence and not conquest).

Also why do you think that Famine is an axe?As far as I'm aware he uses scales.
