League's new lore is like trying to turn Army of Darkness into a serious historical drama.

Things were the best when everything is a sort of "fuck it" monster mashup, but trying to make everything serious just feels like removing all the fun from the game. Why did Riot feel the need to go down this road?

I mean, we've got guys like Kled and Ivern to break that up.

But also, it was hard to work with the old lore, as the institute could handle any problem. In addition, this can give more depth to hte story. Demacia used to be THE PERFECT LAND WHERE NOTHING IS WRONG and Noxus and Zaun used to be the land of MWAHAHAHAHA NOW MY EVIL PLOT IS COMPLETE!

Yeah, no, totally. That 40 story white powerlifting meathead gargoyle ...too serious.

Imo just a "fuck it" monster mash up can get pretty stale since there is no real depth in it, but that's my opinion.

I guess Riot just wanted to take lore a little more seriously or something.
