Why I love the New Trundle Splash Arts

I know it's a bit late to the party but I had seen some distaste towards the new Traditional Trundle Splash Art. Personally, I think it fits him perfectly and when you think of Traditional Trundle that's what I would like to imagine. Some comments I heard were along the lines of: "He doesn't fit the goofy looking troll role anymore", however in my eyes I imagine Traditional Trundle as a precursor to when he becomes goofy and a bit insane. I think Traditional Trundle represents him as he is in his prime and stands a glorious Troll King. Before he goes a bit mad and becomes the current troll we all love today. TL;DR I love the new splashes for trundle and I think everyone should give them the respect they deserve. :D

The Traditional art does look great, but it's not Trundle in the art. Traditional Trundle is a cursed, exiled troll, filled with diseases, his skin is bubbling and melting off, his muscles are exposed, his eye fell out of his head and he is constantly foaming at the mouth. The hunk of a troll lounging on his stone throne is not Traditional Trundle. He'd make a great Jungle King Trundle, but it's not Traditional Trundle.

The thing is Traditional Trundle was kind of a bone thrown to those who prefered his original lore. Where Trundle was a cursed disease ridden martyr who was exiled by those he saved and he in turn became filled with hatred over his situation.

People saying he looks powerful, or even sexy as some said when it first came out, is the exact opposite response you were supposed to see from this pathetic disease ridden creature who's existence is filled with the pain of his own flesh falling off.

That said, the art isn't bad. Actually its pose and style do a better job of capturing the current Trundle lore than I would say the normal Trundle Skin splash art does. It just completely misses the point of the Traditional Skin.
