I like Camille, but...

Gameplay wise, she's a fucking awesome champion. Character wise, she's pretty awful. She's basically just a Neo-Libertarian assassin for the wealthy. She's hardly got any depth, unlike other assassins. Talon went from being someone nobody knows with little power, to somebody few know with immense power. Katarina is part of a wealthy family where, in other societies like Demacia, she would have been made a house wife or something, instead, she grabbed fate by the balls and became one of the greatest assassins on Valoran. Camille? She went through cybernetic/hextech augmentation in order to help progress society by brutally murdering corrupt politicians and the like. There's no depth to the actual character, just her job. She's contradictory in some statements, (like saying Showcase has no place in battle, but makes several comments on civility and dignity), and she's outright dislikeable. Look in the comments, people think she's an asshole. Characterwise, noone else in League of legends is considered to be purely an asshole, even Aurelion Sol is mostly classified with being a narcissist, but he has a reason. HE CREATES FUCKING STARS, and has been for millennia, and now he's trapped on Runeterra because humans tricked him. Viktor? He's an intelluctual who's work has never been credited to him, all he really wants is to empower those who want progress unhindered by others, and to destroy those who took way some of his greatest achievements. That's why he talks down to people. Camille? She just hates them, sure there are scummy assholes in politics, and sure, sometimes deadly action is necessary to keep progress rolling, but Camille just murders, and probably gets paid to do it under the table. To quote Ekko, "You're part of the problem." She represents the very thing she is out to destroy, the only difference being is the intentions. She does it so progress can continue in a city that might some day end up like the Purge. Zaun may be a disgusting and horrifying, but as we've seen, they're just people trying to make a life for themselves without help from others. They represent a modern capitalistic society without all the social benefits that countries like the US have. Is Zaun full of corruption? Absolutely, but as selfish as it may be, these are people just trying to make the best of a shitty situation. Zaun is disgusting in most areas, just a cut above the Noxian Slums. Yet, there are technological advances happening on the streets waiting to be reported. There are very deep things to consider with Camille's position and occupation, but Camille's personality on its own is lacking and utterly shallow. Riot, try harder next time.

NOTE: Riot took down my last post because it was in the wrong section, so this is try #2.

We don't even have Camilles full bio&color text,so I suggest you should wait for that before jumping to conclusions.

Uhm behaving civilized and digniful are different from trying to show off though. She doesn't like it when people try to make a show out of a fight(causing them to do unnecessary stuff in it),but also doesn't like it if someone doesn't behave dignified/civilized in it(like cursing a lot, begging for mercy, etc.)

Well thats what you call diversity :p Eitherway I've also seen some people that find her entertaining because she is such an a-hole.

And there are characters who have even worse personality-traits than just being an asshole,I mean look at thresh, the guy is all about sadism, which is actually worse than just being an asshole.

And hypocritical holier-than-thou automatically makes for a bad character, why exactly...?

I don't see why that's a bad thing.

I see her as an Inquisitor of Order so as a big warhammer 40k fan I like the character. Her Job is Order at any Cost, the ends always justify the means and she has the most firm belief that her cause is not merely Just but Justice incarnate. She reminds me a lot of the Operative from Serenity.
