Today, 22.02.2019, marks the 3000th day of General Du Couteau's disappearance

Just the statement of a person who was interested and still interested in it, maybe a bit too much. And yes, I know about Swain's taunt against Katarina.

8 years, 2 months and 16 days ago in the 11th issue of Journal of Justice at the date of 7 December 2010, The Head of Du Couteau House, Katarina and Cassipeia's Father, Master of Talon, General Du Couteau disappeared.

It's not interesting by itself, not at all. It's just an excuse for Swain to be in the Noxian High Command as General Du Couteau's place was left empty after his disappearance. Since Katarina and Cassiopeia seemed like loving their father, it would've been an interesting plot for them as the story unfolded. They would fight against Swain and Leblanc, The Black Rose. But it was not enough. They thought the plot was much deeper than what it actually seemed like. It required some more attention. Then, in the 27th issue of Journal of Justice, at the date of 24 August 2011, Talon was teased. He was released as a champion at the same date later in the day. His whole goal?

Finding General Du Couteau.

Today also marks the Talon not getting anything for 7 years, 5 months and 30 days. Almost exactly 7.5 years. A whole character made up to find one person and get some Assassin Creed players. But I don't want to make this is a whining post. I know Rioters are working on the Du Couteau plot and Talon's lore. Katarina's updated bio and recent short story "Message on a Blade's Edge" are the proof of that. I love the work they are putting. I am actually happy they are not rushing it because there are so many problems with Talon's unlogical design and so many ways for Du Couteau Plot to go. Black Rose is still a mystery to us mostly too.

...but sometimes I fall into despair. I did say I'm sure they are working on him... but I'm not that sure actually. He was left to rot for too long. No meaningful voice interactions, no connections to anywhere. Quinn actually had connections to Talon, but it was completely on her side and gave nothing about Talon. And all those small things are gone too now. So I'm sitting here, waiting for something canon about Talon and General's fate, hoping they'd be given what they deserve after all this time. But I always fear and know deep within myself... Even after this much waiting, it won't be good enough.

So I look at the 31th issue of Journal of Justice and watch the time go by just like how Katarina and Talon watches Swain's rising to the throne, helpless and not knowing what to do. I wait as multiple champions get their characters explored further and further... Getting more and more... And I'm fine with it. I just want it to be worth it. Just... to be worth it...
