So we got Lux and Ezreal again in a big narrative skinline. Again.

I do realise they have to make money. But since Ezreal and Lux is already in Star Guardian, isn't it a bit lazy? Or to word it better, boring? We already have 2 of them interacting with each other in main universe with voice lines to each other, they interacted with each other in the second batch of star guardians, they interact with each other in that pajama guardian story.

Now they make another, completely new skinline. Guess who the two leads are. Lux and Ezreal. Should we expect them everywhere from now on? Should we expect same champions being in the spotlight from now on since Riot seemed to drop on profit by around %50 last year? You'll get your money Riot but speaking for myself, am disappointed. It's getting boring and I don't want to look forward to any other big skinline if you'll increase things like this, again, speaking for myself. I hope I'm alone in this and people are happy with them but my guts are telling me I'm not.

I wasn't going to do anything, but it's too much for me, so I'm going to do it: OP, you are absolutely correct and you should say it.

It's one thing to have Ezreal and Lux be a thing in the SG universe and have a lot of focus dedicated to them, as well as subtle hints in the canon Runeterran lore. But the BA universe as well? I think that's too redundant.

It takes away focus from other potential Champions in the skinline and yet again puts them in the spotlight and together. I thought Star Guardian was enough. But apparently not?

It's slightly sad that Riot apparently don't think their alternative stories can work without Lux or Ezreal in the spotlight.

They made that decision with the money in the mind, not the story like not at all.

Unfortunately you are not alone. This is Riot's policy gone awry. People have been defending them making skins for popular champs for so long and now THIS is what it's come down to. Prestige skins, The same popular champs getting the lead roles in more "new" skin lines while SO MANY other champs either don't have skins or have lame skins that Riot doesn't really care about, some of which are given to certain champs cause they know that skin line is dead so they gave the scraps to the unpopular champs just to make people think they are being thoughtful of those players. Even more unfortunately though is this won't be a wake up call either. People will still defend Riot's decision and Riot will continue to waste resources on champs who don't need more resources wasted on them. The fact is Riot is trying to get back what they lost and don't have the resources to get it, so they are cannibalizing anything they can to try and keep their profits up, rather then realizing they just aren't as popular as they were and toning things back to fix what they have and MAYBE bring people back to League.

People like Lux & Ezreal ; people buy Lux & Ezreal related content ; riot produces more content that a majority asked for ; Lux skin got teased last week, noone complained then...

So why do I see this now, popping up on my Google News constantly, people complaining about how Riot provides content that the community asked for?

I'm not going to bother getting excited for big storyline skins anymore. The next and probably only skin I will buy this year is Little Demon Tristana who I realize is one of those champions who has a lot of skins but is also one of those champions who has been around a long time and has a lot of out of date skins... and almost never gets put on any big storyline skins. Omega squad is the only one I can think of. But I digress.

I have spent consistently less and less money on this game over the years, in part because I have less to spend but also because... they're just not releasing skins for champs I play. Its always another Ahri/Lux/Ezreal in a big, super event skin line. And its frustrating.

I know Jinx is newer than both of them, but she also starred in two events, Odyssey and Star Guardian.

I mean.... to be completely honest I only care about this game because of Ezreal so I'm not going to complain at all cause this is just a win for me lol.
