Riot should do this
What Riot should do is take some time off of updates and new champs, and work on the lore, I would love to see more from my favorite champions.

It wouldn't make sense to let the people from the champion creation&champion update team do the lore,they aren't writers and riot can't just fire them for a short time.
I think their current way of handling new champions and champion updates is okay, it can be better for sure, but its definitely improved from previous years. What they now need to do is to improve the lore release in general. The respectable quality can be achieved as seen with the Bilgewater thing, but the release of lore should not be so few and far between. Also they should do weekly lore updates rather than so called events. Does lore really have to be an event?
This is literally like saying "We have a lot of sick people. Let's take some software engineers and have them treat people."
And it would work exactly as well too.
