Please Riot, Make Volibears current model his younger self
While yes, 
Volibear needs a visual update to match his lore appearance in the present time, the current Volibear model could easily be explained as him when he was younger, around the time he fought 
Ornn. Between that time and the present Volibear gained a lot of battle scars and genuinely aged and matured in appearance.
This is not the first champion to have their old model remain canon. 
Akalis old model was made her canon appearance before she left the Kinkou Order.
Riot, it would be quite a shame as to retcon these appearances outright, when they could easily be used as their prior forms without effecting how they look now. Would expect similar things with 
when he eventually gets a Champion Update (since in lore he changes his appearance, and the last story "Art is Life" is right before such a transformation), or heck keep Atreus canon to 
Pantheons lore but make his new body a new vessel after the previous one died in battle.
