I am still confused...It took them 2 months to do it but we waited since 2016.....

The "ideation" Did you not read that part? The ideation is them sitting there and discussing the skin design/concept. Then it goes to them actually making that concept into a model, animations, vfx, sfx, ect. So it took way longer than just two months for the whole thing.
