What ships don't make any sense lore-wise?
What are some ships that don't make any sense if you think about the new lore?

Ironside Malphite doesn't make any sense... Why its called IRONside if its mostly made out of wood?
Sentient ships are weird.
Just about all of them. Pick two characters at random. Odds are, it's not supported by canon; ergo, it doesn't make sense.
Riven and Zac don't make sense yes.
I would say

Garen is the captain of a battalion of soldiers, he is very strict towards magic (but in the comics of Lux, we saw his kind side with his sister) but he is still very loyal to his country and i'm not sure he should love Noxians people. I don't understand how Garen can fall in love with a noxian and especially an assassin, it's make no sense. Katarina have killed Demacians people, she is a murderer.
From Katarina side, her personnality don't really fit to love Garen. The only common point of both would be their loyalty to their nations but if they are loyal, they won't try to love someone who is an enemy of their nation.
I don't undestand this ship, i know it's popular but from a lore perspective, i don't think it's make sense.

because they never have met. Taric don't know about the existence of Ezreal and reciprocally so how can they fall in love together if they didn't know each other ?

: Their characters are so different, i can't imagine them together. Jayce is a scientist who is proud of himself and Vi is a tomboy who loves to kick asses. Vi would probably be pissed at Jayce bragging and end up to crush his face. Jayce would always consider Vi as a "idiot" and told her she is "inferior" or things like that.

: Even if they share a common skin, let's be honest, if Evelyn was with TF, he would be dead. You can't be in a relationship with Evelyn, she is a demon. TF is a player, he loves risk his luck to games but i'm not sure he would risk his life in bed.

: It's may look cute at first but don't forget Amumu is a mummy and Annie is a little girl who isn't at legal age. Amumu is probably very old, like 100 or 1000 years old, he is a mummy so he can live forever since it's a spirit in a dead body wrapped in strips. A little girl with a 1000 years old mummy is weird if you think about it. We can suppose that Annie can break Amumu curse and be his friend but then we would have to precise Amumu age to make them a couple.
Gangplank's ship. It was destroyed by MF yet he still can call for a cannon barrage from the ship and can even pay for cannon upgrades

Kayn is in a struggle with a Darkin weapon presumably to win the respect of Zed and to become more powerful, and Akali thinks he's crazy in game so unlikely that there would ever be romance especially since Akali hates Zed
Last time we saw Lux she was camping out with some mage refuges who had fled Demacia and I doubt she has any interest in Ezreal whatsoever

Honestly I completely forgot that Riven x Zac used to be a thing.
It was mainly done because Zac's silhouette actually appears in battle bunny rivens splash. So yeah this ship was created just because of a small early-bird-cameo to tease Zacs release that went unnoticed by most.
