Noxus born because of Mordekaiser, it took and stole a lot of things from him. But they all belonged to him at first. And because of this the very foundations of Noxus came from him.

He had all three. Let's go through Lightbringer's lyrics together while I give you subtle hints of what I think.

Sorry, I made you scroll down too much. But my theory is Mordekaiser is the Lightbringer. But just in the eyes and minds of his soldiers. While we always remember how he controlled and almost conquered the entire Runeterra in 400 years, a perfect example of his Vision. It took all the other nations and countries to form up and fight as one. Even then he died on top of a mountain of corpses. A perfect example of his Might.

Where is the Guile? The truth is... All of the Lightbringer lyrics is a huge lie. An alternative reality Mordekaiser is making the people he controls see. Remember the first Mordekaiser teaser?

See how one part is white as snow, pure and the other is just a ghosty, broken? I think this image is showing two parts of the reality. The shady one is what it's really is, the second pure one is how Mordekaiser makes his "people" see. Being the guile himself, he is manipulating them. He is playing with their minds. We've gone through the lyrics of Lightbringer. He is making them believe that they are the ones living the real life and the others are the monsters. That Mordekaiser is the lightbringer, the chosen one to smite the unholy creatures. Using this, he makes campaigns against other parts of Shadow Isles and other parts of Runeterra. But he can't always hide his true intentions.

Oh yeah, that's probably another reason why they don't want the "Lightbringer Order" in Demacia and instead called them "Illuminators" [sg-miss-fortune]

I used to think that, but in the end I believe Mordekaiser would be out of character as an illusionist/deceiver.

He's a conqueror and a tyrant. Rules with fear and an iron fist.

Pentakill Mordekaiser better still have the same helmet shape after they made those album covers, or there will be some high quality sodium thrown around. (We already know base skin Mordekaiser is missing the middle spike, which is fine, but Pentakill must remain the same as the figurehead for the AU band.)

So like, I understand that there's buzz for the Mordekaiser rework, and even I'm desperate for any scrap of content that might be related to him. Which I'd hate to be the 'bad guy' here but I'm a huge skeptic at the validity of this attempted theory. There'd be zero chance this song was written in reference to Mordekaiser and I think all of your assertions are drawn from flawed connections.

The lyrics to this song are a fun AU for a selection of old and current items in-game. "The Lightbringer" isnt a person or a title belonging to an individual and im highly doubting the implications that Morde might've used a different weapon before Nightfall. Along with all the other songs are lyrically from the item's perspective or about their effects.

Nevermind all of that, these lyrics weren't written by anyone from the Narrative department. They had nothing to do with Pentakill's development. None of it is/has references to champions, prime lore, or anything that might someday become either of those two things.

This thread is nothing much other than wishful-thinking. To most it probably sounds good on a basic level, sadly it doesnt really work when considering everything else.
