Why is Spirit Guard Udyr Ultimate? @ Riot

So I'm a long time Udyr fan and player and is just grinds my gears that his best skin is labeled as ultimate. I don't just mean best in the sense oo that's pretty. This skin gives the champion a better identity along with making him not look like a fat hillbilly that needs a haircut while in bear stance. My real point is, why is this skin still considered ultimate? I understand skins don't usually get their class changed (other than astro teemo if I remember correctly), but this skin is only about as good as most of the newer 975 and 1350 rp skins. But it costs 3200 rp.... Almost every legendary skin made since this one has been way better than it considering Udyr doesn't have that much potential to change to begin with. But here we are, being forced to buy an ultimate that's not even ultimate level to not have blocky feet. Just to say it again, this is a 25 dollar skin. That's a huge commitment as far as I'm concerned.

Spirit Guard Udyr's an ultimate skin because it's comprised of fourteen different models with a huge set of animations to go along with them. Fourteen models in one skin is an inordinate amount. For comparison, Zyra, a champion who is difficult to make skins for because she has multiple models, currently has four. I think she has the most models necessary for a character out of any champion in the game, aside from Spirit Guard Udyr. And it's not like these are just new textures, they're all separate models. Someone like Gnar has various textures on all of his skins to show his transformation in to Mega Gnar, but really only has models for his two forms and whatever he's throwing, which is no where near the workload that Spirit Guard Udyr brings.

Other than that he has all the criteria for a legendary skin. Ultimate skins are generally made as such because of some extra feature on top of the criteria for legendary skins; for Pulsefire Ezreal it's an evolving model that changes as you level. For Spirit Guard Udyr it's fourteen different models with varied animation sets throughout, with his stance forms changing model when he maxes their level. For DJ Sona it's a freely transformable model with varied animations for each form and new music that can be listened to in game and played for allies.

So there you have it as far as I can tell.

Largely because it's the VGU he always needed but never got.

You seem to be under the impression that the skins price is determined by how cool you find it,but forget that everyone has their own tastes.

The skin doesn't just come with completely new animations and several new models, but also has its own VO.
