Im curious, i havent read all the lore and want to know what people think is the darkest/saddest lore for champions. From what i'v read, zac and orrianna's are pretty sad, and thresh's lore is kind of dark.

Renekton : got locked in a tomb with xerath to save his brother and went crazy and wants to kill him because xerath fucked with his head Veigar : used to be an excited yordle who wanted to see the world and joined a trading caravan, got set up by noxians and imprisoned and isolated, which drove him insane Yasuo : Got framed for killing an elder and is a wanted man, had to kill his own brother in self defense Those are some of the saddest imo

Sion's lore is very dark and somewhat sad if you'll think deeper about it.

It presents history of a man that was forcefully taken from state of death denying him the well deserved peace after his heroic deeds and stripping him from his dignity. After death he was turned into a monster steered by artificially induced lust for killing and war. The resurrection process stripped him of his personality, his memories were taken away and those that still linger in his mind are slowly slipping away from him while he desperately wants to keep them. He lost almost entirely his identity, his original self that still somewhat exists in moments of sanity is trapped inside his undead, monstrous body and magic that keeps him "alive". He is kept isolated between battles, caged. He's just a slave to those that rule Noxus. Probably the saddest part is that the state for which he was fighting his whole life did it to him after his death.

Nautilus Though it hasn't been expanded on so far.

Urgot

A man taken from death and forcibly reanimated into some twisted Frankenstein to serve Noxus once again. And judging by his quotes, he's in a constant state of pain to the point where it's torture.

From all the hints in Warwick's and Jinx's bios (along with in game dialogue) Jinx likely has a pretty dark background; as we know she wasn't always crazy. And of course Warwick's lore is pretty dark too.

I have a soft spot for Nami's lore. They put way too much weight and faith of her people on her shoulder.

Tryndamere Imagine your whole home town being murdered in front of you while you can do nothing about it while the one who killed them disappears never to be seen or heard of again.

Teemo : Murders people without hesitation and shuts off all emotion when doing it.

Depends on what you are looking for. Sad/dark being you feel sorry for the champion after reading it (Galio's new sorry had me feeling as though I were experiencing what it is like to be a statue) or as in creepy ass stuff (most shadow isles champions).

Riot should do more champs with a CHEERFUL story.... if you think about it, most of the characters have a dark tale behind them.

Moonboy653/20/2017, 9:35:26 PM1 votes

Galio as well

Janna : Was an orphan who had to spend her time on the cold streets of Zaun stealing just to survive, she never had any family or anyone she could trust. In her Orphan, she found magic and in a matter of months learned magic surpassing her teachers virtually overnight. Seeking to right the injustice in the world ( particularly the insanity that has become the city of Zaun. ) Janna has brought her talents to the League.
