Am I the only one who finds the irony that evolved out of Kayn?

Rhaast: "Teacher and...student?" Kayn: "Yes...its inevitable."

So, the student follows the master.

Zed killed his master. Kayn intends on killing Zed

I like this if for no other reason than the idea of a karmic circle and to see how Zed will respond to the actions of his past repeating themselves.

Now with Shen, Jhin, The Lhotlan, and Kayn, Zed has everything needed to become fully gray.

He has brother who is now an enemy

A pair of rogues who fight for their people as he attempts to build and buffer his own

A ghost from the past which haunts his dreams and changed his path

And now a student, one who reveals himself as a type of karmic-incarnation of his past mistakes and folly.

Zed...has it pretty rough.
