Suggest unique abilities for future champions that can be classified as unique additions to LOL.

Lets help riot games by giving them ideas of future abilities for future champs/VGU. Please swear that if you comment in this thread, your designs can be used by riot games to avoid copyright fighting in the future. Thanks!

The rules are simple, Just identify the ability that you're making for a future champ or a VGU.

So heres mine:

  • Future Champ - a champion that can shrink. The champ is invulnerable in its small form but can move very fast because the champ is flying. It depends on the developer of the champ if it can cast an ability/ auto attack in its small form. If it can, i bet its gonna become an ultimate ability. The champ is like a fairy or something that can shrink until the size of a fly. Maybe like the Wasp or Antman but can fly.

  • Future Champ - a female champion that uses its hair to attack. The champ uses psychokinetic control over her hair to move it. So when it attacks, this person can grip an enemy, toss it or pierce it. Maybe this champ can have the hair mechanic like energy. The more you use your abilities, the more you lose your hair. So, you need to rest for a while to grow them back like energy. Examples of this hairmancers are, Medusa from Marvels Inhumans, Flare Corona from Fairytail or Sindel from Mortal Combat.

  • Future Champ - a champ that uses flash bombs/ flash abilities(dont confuse it with the flash spell that can blink you to a desired location). If the flash bomb was used, your screen will turn white. like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5yPXcf_VOg

  • Future Champ - a dancer, a literal dancer that uses the Brazilian martial arts Capoeira. The champ can also hold weapons as its dances. maybe 2 fans with blades?

  • Future Champ - a champ that summons pets/magical beasts that has abilities to attack/defend/heal. So this champ is called a Summoner (Don't be confused to the summoners in the old lore who summons champs in the SR). Maybe this champ can have a passive where you need to choose if youre gonna be an offensive type (making your abilities more offensive and changing your other abilities to be offensive types for lanes like mid/bot), defense type (making your abilities more defensive and changing your other abilities to be defensive types for lanes like top/jungle) and enchantress type (making your abilities more support type and changing your other abilities to be support types for lanes like mid/sup). This is like kayn's transformation however the champ wont transform its appearance but it will change it abilities to the one that you will choose later on. At the start, it will have a balance category to its abilities like Q=Offense, W=Defense and E=Support(Heal/Shield). After the champ hits lvl 5, the champ must choose 1 of the three types. If the player didn't get to choose until the champ hits lvl 6. the most leveled ability( for example Q for offense) would be set default to the transformation. If there is a tie for example you set lvl 2 to your Q and W, the most used ability would be the defaulted one, so choose wisely. After transforming, all your abilities gets replaced except the same ability that you picked. For example, you picked the offensive type, all your abilities gets replaced except the Q ability because its a offense type already.

  • VgU/VGU: Olaf - just make him a stormborn ursine please! and change all of his inconsistencies in the new lore.

A champion that is essentially a child's drawing/imaginary friend brought to life by magic or something. They are 3D, or appear to be, when moving around, but they have an ability that flattens them into a 2D form against the ground/terrain causing them to blend in. They can't move when they do this, nor can they be targeted or seen(unless with sweeping lens or some other form of reveal item). Moving/recasting ends the ability early.

A champion that can pull an asteroid from the sky as an ultimate ability. Maybe a god/goddess or something like that, or just a person with insanely strong magic. It doesn't knock up like Malphite's ult, but it does an insane amount of damage and causes a slowing/damaging shock wave to ripple out from the impact zone.

A group of elemental spirits that you can switch between, like Jinx's Q with her guns. Each spirit has a damaging ability and a support ability and unique passive, but the same ultimate.

  • Fire's passive increases the damage dealt by nearby allies. They can scorch the ground, burning anyone that walks over it. They can create a small smoke screen to cover their allies' escape.
  • Earth's passive increases the AR and MR of nearby allies. They can cause the ground to fracture, damaging anyone standing on the area and slowing anyone that walks over it. They can grant their allies a shield.
  • Wind's passive increases the attack speed of nearby allies. They can cause a small, stationary tornado to appear that pulls in enemy units, dealing damage and slowing them if they try to run away. Enemies fully sucked in by the tornado are stunned for a short time. They can grant a movement speed/regeneration buff to their allies.
  • Water's passive increases the tenacity of nearby allies. They can create a small geyser to burst from the ground, knocking up and dealing damage to any enemies standing over it. They can heal their allies.

The ultimate would be something like a Lahar, combining all the elements into a devastating mud flow that surges forward, pulling nearby allies into it and pushing enemies away. If cast into a wall, it would stop against the wall(it would continue flowing until the entire thing hits the wall) and any enemies caught in it would be slammed into the wall and stunned. It isn't global so you can't ult your entire team into the enemy fountain(would get blocked by the Nexus anyway), but the range is pretty long. It can cast over smaller walls, but it gets blocked by Baron/dragon pit or the walls that line the lanes/edge of the map. It is also blocked by turrets and inhibitors if they aren't destroyed, and by the Nexus.

A champion that turns the terrain into a weapon. They can cause walls to extend and cause trees to fall down, blocking paths or creating new ones. They can cause the brush to damage you when you enter it by turning it into thorns. That kind of shit.

A champion that uses echolocation to reveal enemies that are in stealth/hidden.

That second one honestly sounds like Evelynn if they gave her another rework tbh...

Edit: If my screen turned all white no- If that became a thing the players had to deal with. . . . . Could you not see how much hate that would bring about? Could you imagine sitting in a dark room, playing league, you casually enter a bush, then your fucking eyes melt away as Jesus descends upon your location, flipping the lights in your room on? Then to your ironic discovery (Ironic, because you would be "blinded by the light" and unaware of the spotlight that now replaces your standard room light) you notice this light surrounds you, almost seemingly protecting you from everlasting darkness upon darkness. It's Kingdom Hear- Then it ends, and your champ lay dead, but your ears are still ringing from what your eyes registered as a flash-bang.

  • Medivh's untargetable bird form from Hots; i.e., an untargetable form that can fly over walls and grant vision, but can do nothing else in that form except exit that form
  • Global ground CC effect
  • Kayn ult into allies, can cast abilities from inside them (Someone in Dawngate had something like this)
  • Bring back a version of Urgot's old ult (switch places)

You know what we need? More Karthus-like global ultimates. Some stuff that affects everyone, enemy or ally.

Also I'd like a champion that can 'harvest' energy from their enemies. Something like getting a part of the enemy's AP if the enemy is going AP (any mage), a part of their AD if they are AD-focused (Jayce, Renekton, AD assassins), attack speed if against an AS reliant champion (ADCs? Jax? Trynda?) or HP.

This champion could (depending on the dev's choice) harvest stats from:

  1. Maybe the first enemy he kills
  2. An enemy he can pick, maybe post-6, so this mechanic will be R's passive?
  3. The strongest enemy (highest level, kills or bounty or items)
  4. Or gain stats from the entire enemy team (some AP from their Diana, some AD from their Jinx, some HP because they have a Garen). But make the values relatively lower.
  5. Or make this thing an ultimate itself: for a period of time after pressing R, champion becomes empowered with these stats
  6. Or make this a passive: if you takedown X, you permanently get idk, 20% of X's AP? Insert what value you want.

A champion that can mesmerize others and make them hit other champions on their team, similar to Lissandra's passive but they must to be alive and it would be an ultimate.

A fighter champion that changes into mineral forms such as Gold, Silver, Platinium, Diamond etc, similar to Tremor in Mortal Kombat.

A mage champion that uses perfumes and mists to buff allies/itself or debuff/affect enemies, such a blinded/poisoned.

A support champion that plays around food and feeding its allies to heal them.

A puppet master.

I always see the "hair champion" idea brought up by different people, and I think Riot should really look into this. There aren't a lot of games that actually implement this. The one I can remember the most is Teeny Kong using her hair to fly in DK n64.

It has so much potential.
