I guess the whole "Death's getting lonely" could be very nice, though i'm not certain how they could make the difference between Lamb and Wolf. Is Lamb life? Not likely, she is half of Death, perhaps the honourable and selfless act of sacrificing for others? While Wolf might incarnate the concept of violent death and despair brought by it's inevitability. Just random thoughts for the moment, guess we shall see when their (Its?) lore is revealed.
Think of Hel from the Game Smite And Nordic Folklore. Two beings in one and both together form the goddess of hell (and death indirectly). You have the Dark Hel who is unforgiving and punish, while you have the light that is carefree and take care of others even in hell. They are the judge, the punisher and the healer for souls.
If Lamb and wolf represent the 'Death' embodiement of League, they probably took a part of that lore for inspiration.
