Now, if only Kayle wasn't such a poopo champion, we'd have a winner. I like her skins, i really do and even those old ones but she has a lot of unrealized potential in her thematic and kit that Rito needs to update at some point. Until then, dreams will be dreams.

Oh, she will be. Riot has plans to, eventually, do pretty much a VGU on her, along with a VU on Morg. That said, I think their only mid way up on the priority list. Champs like Panth, Morde, and Irelia are WAY higher up then they are.

I think Riot has said VUs aren't on their list anymore. Simply because it takes too much resources to do while the appreciation from the playerbase is low. And the champions they usually VU have more work involved and could be bundled in a higher tier update (at least a smaller scope GU if not a full VGU) so it's always better to wait it out for the entire deal.

This is true, however, Morg is a special case.

Since they would work on Kayle, they would also work on Morg as a testament to them being sisters. However, since Morg's kit is quite healthy as it is, they'll probably only do a couple number tweaks, but give her a fully updated model, VO, and VFX.

So, Morg will be the only true VU we see in the near future, simply because they'd release it with Kayle's VGU.

Yea, the duo update was mentioned as a possibility. But i don't believe Morg's kit is quite healthy as it is. It's quite old and it works but all of it relies on her hitting her Q and if she doesn't, it's pretty much waiting for her Q off CD to try to combo again. Morgana really doesn't have anything to do if her combo isn't available to her.

I'm a Morgana main myself and this is what's been frustrating me when playing her. Her mastery is quite low (clutch shields or super precise Q shots or predictions) and nothing else. If anything, she'd benefit from an update that Katarina went through, in my opinion. Her thematic could use the same amount of work as with Kayle but i do believe they could both be first dual VGUs (not counting Xayah and Rakan because they were new champions).

I guess if they were to do Kat level work on her, I could see her getting a new passive and W. Everything else is fine as is.

Probably enforce the "CC-machine" she currently is. Perhaps something like Twitch's E, where, if someone is hard CC'd, she presses W, removes that CC (within a certain range), but deals a good chunk of damage scaling on how much time was left on the CC.

Though, it would remove any waveclear she has, and probably completely kick her out of mid lane, locking her up in the support role. Who knows...just an idea.

Most people were thinking it was Sona before the announcement, which given her telepathy makes sense. Though second singer so she can focus on her keyboard also makes sense.

Keep in mind that Pentakill skin line might be an alternate universe, like the Star Guardian skin line. So in that universe, Sona might not be mute at all.

It doesn't make sense. EVEN AS A BACKUP SINGER it ruins the name of the band itself. It ruins the lore. It screws up so much of what made pentakill pentakill. I don't understand why riot is doing this. Even thematically it doesn't make sense. Sure, you could argue that Sona doesn't make sense either, but at least she is a musician. They've gone and done this for no reason, and with a champion who makes just doesn't belong. Even the point of needing a female vocalist doesn't make sense, seeing how they have a lich who could theoretically pull the voices of people already dead to sing. AND IF IT HAD TO BE A CHAMP, it could have been someone like Kalista, Elise, one of the dead or darker female champions. Instead we got heavy metal angel who'd of been better off in her own band.

The band started with Morde and Karthus, but because of Morde's legendary super powerful guitar drove him into a rage with rock during one session, he killed his entire band including himself and Karthus. After a period of time passes, Morde goes for a second try, recruits Karthus again, and while him and Karthus take the ferry piloted by Yorick, they recruit him because he plays his guitar well. During their travels they find Sona who can rock as much as them despite being mute, so they pick her up as well. They go to a bar, get into a fight that ends with Yorick and Olaf armwrestling to a standstill for several days. They ask if he wants to join, and he replies with "I'm only good at beating things up", to which Karthus says "Good, you can be our drummer". There is a bit more to it, like Karthus being known for eating live poro's during concerts, but the jist is that they are a super heavy metal band.

Also, you can't have a heavy metal band without a drummer, at least not one that is an homage to the entire genre.

I'm hoping with all the new Pentakill stuff coming out they will update the old skins too. I got Pentakill Sona and was excited to see if she had new particles or at least some new metal sounds when she plays her instrument but was very disappointed that it was only a new model. Riot's guide to skins does say that 975 skins "feature: new model, new texture, new splash image. Sometimes includes: new animations, visual effects, and sounds where appropriate for the skin's theme."
