I still think that Riot is handling the lore rework very sloppily. Like, in my opinion, there were several other much better ways of doing a rework than deleting everything and starting over from scratch (that's like J. K. Rowling writing the first four Harry Potter books and then saying "Wait, I change my mind, I'm going to start over again!" after those first four books are already published and everyone is waiting for the fifth. The world would have exploded and she would have been the #1 most hated human being on the planet. It's BS, is what I'm getting at.).
What bothers me most is that they announced that they were removing the old lore, but then didn't have anything new to present to us for a while afterwards. That was poorly executed. I think the transition wouldn't be as negatively received if they had at least the new foundations of the new lore ready at the time they announced that they were pulling a Disney on the Star Wars canon.
On a side rant, I still think it's kind of stupid that they felt the only way out of the Institute of War and Summoners concept was by erasing everything and starting over again. I was rereading the Journals of Justice, and in the last edition it seemed to be heading towards Katarina, Jarvan, and Garen uncovering some sort of conspiracy within the Institute (or some other negative connotations aimed towards it). Also, considering Vayne is said to have wanted to destroy the League of Legends, would it have been so hard for the lore writers to simply have the champions overthrow the whole institution and then rework it into whatever it is they want it to be now?
Rito please. Real writers don't abandon their stories after they're already published.
