WHAT THE HELL WAS TRYNDAMERE TALKING ABOUT?

I saw this come up on Reddit first and I asked the question too on the old Boards, but no one had an answer. That was back in July.

I especially want to know concerning the new lore direction. Originally Rune Terra (aka Rune-World) had focal points of magical energy making the Nexi around the world important locations. Sounds lame...

Looks like Riot got to big for shitty lore that involved the players... can't have that immersion stuff. Is too dorky. What would Esport think of it.

What makes you think it will involves players, at all?

It won't most likely. The game is just a game now. The characters are just some random people. Some of them are birds. Some of them are crocodiles. A few are weird fuzzy little guys. Pick one and kill the other ones.

Who needs a story that might make the players more interested, or likely to play this game instead of a different one?

Oh wait, that was one of the reasons I even started playing this instead of say, Dota 2.

Dota 2 has a story with mad moons, magical radiation, and lovecraftian forces and stuff. Sorta makes sense. Sorta.
