2018 Skin Lore Tournament - January 2nd: The Lure vs Interview: Inside K/DA

As of LordRedStone's final tournament post, it seems we're not done yet, as the majority of people want to see a tournament for the skin lore short stories and a loser's tournament for the main lore! Since the skin lore tournament got more votes, I'll be starting with that one while I figure out finely organize the larger loser's tournament to test out which stories are the best of the non-winners.

As a disclaimer, Halfway Between the Stars and Earth and Demacian Heart will not be included in either of these tournaments, as they were not released by the time the original tournament started. Since they were put out during pre-season, they will be included along with 2019 lore stories.

Each of my posts will be posted at 12:00 p.m. EST unless otherwise noted, and the polls will close one day later.

Since there are only four skin lore stories that came out this season, this tournament will take place over four days, including a contest for third place from the two losers. Without further ado, here is the schedule:

#2018 Skin Lore Tournament: Day 1

To start off the skin lore tournament, today we are pitting two of the most popular skin events of the year against one another: the hit pop group K/DA vs the unexpected arrival of the Odyssey crew! Odyssey's story, The Lure, tells how Ordinal Shieda Kayn searches for ora on an unsuspecting planet, but ends up finding something even more interesting instead. Interview: Inside K/DA is exactly as the title says, an interview inside the minds behind the new hit pop song, POP/STARS.

The Lure by Dan Abnett

Odyssey Kayn, otherwise known as Ordinal Shieda Kayn of the great Demaxian Empire, goes to question a group of Templars on the planet of Ionan in his search for the powerful substance ora. One Templar, a curiously quiet girl named Sona, seems to be especially important. Yet in his search for ora, Kayn ends up finding something even more valuable upon Ionan: the mysterious scythe Rhaast, who, if Kayn proves worthy, can help him become the most feared killer in the galaxy.

Interview: Inside K/DA by PopRox

PopRox interviews the four members of the latest hit pop group, K/DA: Ahri, Evelynn, Akali, and Kai'Sa. The young pop singers are excited to talk about how the four of them work together, how they write their songs, and why their single, POP/STARS, has been such a massive hit. With Akali's powerful raps, Evelynn's commanding style, Ahri's remarkable singing and Kai'Sa's graceful dancing, K/DA is ready to come out and shine.

Edit: With an overwhelming 39 to 10 votes, The Lure moves on to compete for first place, while Interview: Inside K/DA goes to compete for third a day before!
