Good god, Jayce
Alright, I know that the lore is from Jayce's perspective and we don't have the Viktor lore yet, but I'm highly disappointed in the new Jayce lore. I always found Jayce to be an obnoxious jerk, and I was hoping that the new lore could redeem him. Instead, while it has a good enough start, it quickly devolves into a "look, even though he was an arrogant asshole who dismissed those who had difficulty for all those years, he just needed a push in the right direction!" story. Even worse, Viktor is depicted as a classic villain type: the old friend who goes insane and tries to kill the hero.
That is not what Viktor is about. Even worse, they outright state that Jayce doesn't think that Viktor cares about how people feel. Oh really Jayce? Isn't that the exact same thing you did for years that made countless people miserable?
So in the end Jayce destroys a bunch of sentient robots because he stopped thinking clearly and is praised as a hero and dubbed The Defender of Tomorrow even though he's spent years calling other people idiots and being a general asshole.
This man does not deserve another chance from the piltover folk. He is everything wrong with piltover. He is arrogant, finds himself to be superior to others, and then when he does one sort of good thing that involves smashing someone's life's work, everyone says he's amazing.
Jayce, you make me sick. Who here agrees with me?
And then I drop an Acceleration Gate and blast 'em with a Hyper Charge!
