Since lore has gone to hell and the institute doesn't exist alot of things been on my mind when it came to this game, back when i joined league the first champ i really took the time to learn was Twitch mainly because back then i found his lore interesting, as his old lore stated he was the first of his kind and looked towards the institute to fund his research so he can recreate the process that gave him sentience. Now it's his lore has turned him into somewhat of a mad scientist trying to create more of his kind to ease his loneliness into a homicidal sociopath with a hording problem which was very disappointing. Also with his lore remade it makes his friendship with Zac even more strange as he's now the total opposite of what zac they should honestly be enemies. The only thing is that they really have in common is that they are the first of their kind and are sentient beings but that's not saying much since Rammus is the first of his kind and also sentient but he dislikes twitch. I just hope in the future riot decides to give a proper lore.....who the hell am i kidding it's not gonna happen

Hence, one of the many, many perils of the retcon: Inconsistencies mid process.

Hopefully, Narrative will get around to fixing all this, but it won't happen soon... or even "Soon™."

I think you got twitchs original character a bit wrong. Twitch was always insane. I mean read this line of his old lore:

Twitch became as sentient as anyone else... provided they were as insane as he [...] While many challenges lie ahead in his quest - one of the largest being his own insanity

Its just that his old lore never made any attempt to show us his insanity,it was more of an informed attribute.

And while twitch did attack the scientists,you have to see the story from his prespective.I mean for twitch it was probably more like "a bunch of thiefs snuck into my home and stole my stuff,I rushed in fended off the thieves and got it back",if he only knew twitchs side of the story,he would probably think twitch is the victim of this,otherwise he'd probably see it more like a misunderstanding that got out of hand.(And this assumes that zac even hears anything about this coincidence,it could be possible that he never heard of twitch doing things like that)
