@Riot Disconnect in the lore team regarding Darkin?

So Aatrox's lore mentions that the Darkin were at one point "honored Shuriman defenders" basically. Neato burrito, the Darkin once were allies with a Runeterran faction, I can live with this that's p cool IMO.

But then Varus' lore basically calls the Darkin invaders from another world, in a way that implies they found Runeterra and immediately began the slaughter, as beings from...Well...Not-Runeterra.

I feel like either this was a major disconnect/oversight in the lore team, or we're missing some key details here. Or maybe there's just a lack of clarity in wording. Regardless, what's going on Riot? :x

This isn't me trying to start anything rude with you guys at Riot for the record, so I hope it doesn't come off that way. Just a lore junkie looking to have a timeline that makes sense, because at least to me, currently there's some confusion here.

This topic has already been discussed with most agreeing that there isn't actually a disconnect. Take some time to siv through the threads in the last few hours and go look for yourself.

If you look at the current state of the game you can tell Riot has clearly lost control and have absolutely no idea what they are doing. If you were to put the differing stories into a lore perspective, it may simply be that each story is told from the perspectives of very different cultures.

I honestly think the lore team need to do a lore dump, so to speak. Get all their ideas, origins of species, locations, people, out there. Origins of Runeterra. Give us a map, a timeline. Everything. Every 6 months we don't need another titbit which somehow confuses things even more.

The original idea of the Darkin was that they sensed the reckless use of magic Runeterra had and being a dominating war faring race, invaded from 'their world' (whether this is in the cosmos or dimensional is debated) to take it for themselves.

If the client bio is right, it just adds to the lore but doesn't take from Varus one. They were protectors of Shurima, as in Shurima might have summoned them to help protect it from the Void (you know, having more men is always good against an unstoppable force), this is when the Darkin noticed the use of Runeterra's magic. When Shurima fell, the Darkin were no longer tied to a faction in Runeterra so formed a war party and invaded to take the magic for themselves.

My issue is with Zoe's involvement, none of that fits due to timelines being confused.
