Mabye during her passive she could fly. And the stone cape she wears could be made in to a simmilar one to Xayahs or Rakans.

Ithil Snek7 votesThe PROJECT recalls are animations that have the same movement timing, there's no gameplay interractions between them. The new champions's recall works so if one starts it, the other one can join during the cast and leave to the base without having to wait.

It's not a weak passive, but it isn't overly powerful either.

Yes. Rakan (or Xayah) can initiate a recall and the other can join at any time before it finishes to essentially mean only one of them has to channel.

Dolasaur2 votesDepending on how tightly you define OP/UP, I guess maybe. But it doesn't really have to be that way. Lots of bot lane pairs work better together than others. Sure, it's new that this time their abilities will change their code paths. But the outcome is what's important. It's possible that these two when queued together will be as strong as, say, Lucian + Braum, or Draven + Nami, or whatever your favorite bot lane combo is. And it's possible that their lower level of synergy with other champs will match the synergy of other "I guess they work together okay" pairs like Lucian + Nami.

Mogarl2 votesThere is one alternative, that there kits don't sync whatsoever otherwise, and that they need those interactions to be viable when played together at high levels play levels. (which is more or less what you said here) That's ok I guess, but it's kind of disappointing if Riot had to force the synergy with specific effects on their "duo" champions.
I'm not saying the effects aren't neat, but I question whether they'll be balanceable. The recall one especially.

The way I see it is, they have special strengths together, but only if they're together. Because you know what they can do together specifically, you can respond to it. It's a bonus that can't happen if they're not together, so, if you ban one, you steal that strength from the other.
Hell, we're getting the 5 pick ban phase soon, so if the enemy team chooses Xayah in the first ban phase, Rakan could possibly get banned in the second half.
