Zoe's physically 12-14 but is actually over a thousand years old. She is to be treated as a minor. That part you knew.

Kayn is somewhere in the realm of 17-20.

This is a pretty popular ship, but 99% of the time they are depicted being friends or middle school-ish crushes. Do not go further.

Kayn is a teenager, zoe is a child whose millenia+ years old

Not cool in my book whichever way you look at it, unless its just like a platonic friendship, that has interesting implications (with zoes relationship with the darkin as a whole and all)
