Nami and the Moonstone

So I felt like making a lore thread, as the current set of threads on this board has gotten stale, so I felt like making a thread speculating about the moonstone.

Nami is out of the water looking for the moonstone which was mysteriously not up for trade at the shore. I, like many who have speculated, have believed that the stone was not brought for trade, because the people who traded it to the Marai were extinct. The Lunari. When Diana discovered the Lunari and told the elders about it, it seemed that they were aware that such people existed. If they were destroyed, most likely only those who had lived close to their time would remember such an event as it would soon pass from memory if it was covered up. The Lunari may have been responsible for trading a moonstone for an abyssal pearl. This would mostly point towards the Lunari going extinct ~100 years ago which fits in with the last moonstone being traded 100 years before nami was left waiting on the shore. The moonstone I'm guessing was the result of some ritual or ceremony every 100 years where they would get the moon to gift them with this stone. Another, interesting possibility would be that the lunari were connected to the yordles, and they went up in their mothership to collect literal moon stones, but this possibility seems a little of of place considering yordles would most likely remember a working mothership from 100 years ago, and the mothership seems to be a much older mystery in the history of yordles from its description.

Hope you enjoyed this short thread :)
