Why do you think they are rivals?

I dont really see how they would conflict with one another- seeing how detached Bard was when Ionia was being invaded by Noxus.

Bard only cares if universal balance is at stake, so this means whatever Aatrox's motivations are they must make him considerable threat to universal balance

They uh...aren't. There's no indication Bard and Aatrox have ever met, know about each other, or are in any way rivals.

They were listed as such, until someone edited on LoLwiki just a short while ago.

I went back to the page after looking at Bard's on live.

I did, since I just had to check the page. The reason that was stuck in there in the first place was someone literally saying "It's been speculated Bard and the Darkin are rivals", which is completely unsubstantiated. Like I said there is no indication these two have ever met before or even know of each other.

While the lol-wiki is way better at gathering all the stuff from the lore,you also should be careful when it comes to these type of things,because sometimes they present a speculation as if it were a fact.

For example they once said that the shadow isles champs represent the 7 deadly sins as if it were a fact,when it was just a fan-theory(one that kinda started to fall apart when an eight shadow isles champ was released)
