Look, whether or not the art on the 16th stair is good or bad is totally up for debate - but I was a huge fan of the 16th stair before it was changed. It was unique and even though I generally walk on the 14th and 13th stairs, the 16th had a personality all of its own. A personality now completely TORN AWAY and replaced with this abomination.

Why not just make a new stair? Riot could've. SO easily. But did they? No. And did they consult us? No. How can I trust Riot to handle doors or sidewalks if they can't even keep the core concept of my favourite stairs intact?

I mean compare the 16th staircase in Fiora's new splash to its former iteration, and YOU tell me that this is an upgrade. YOU try to tell me that this stair upholds the core concepts I fell in love with:

You can't. Y'know why? Because Riot doesn't give a shit about design philosophy in regards to stairs which I walk on sometimes.

At least when the community asked DOTA to stylise their stairs, they listened. More importantly, they upheld the core design we'd come to love.

There's still plenty of things that just look bad on the new models, without even going into the fundamental design choices that are less cut and dry but still rub people the wrong way. There's some very good breakdowns of the new designs on this board that are worth reading before you dismiss all grievances as just whining. Particularly since we wouldn't have gotten even this much change if people hadn't been so aggressively vocal.

They're so obsessed with lowering polycount for low end rigs they forgot to ask if they SHOULD, they're not going to get much more performance without going 2d MSPaint and it already runs on pretty much any computer that can even turn on anymore. Our champions are paying very dearly for their obsession with performance boosts. Other companies make high and low quality for different graphics settings so anyone can play. Riot wants everyone to be able to play on high settings so they decrease the top end quality.

actually I looked more at her leg, she has it propped up on the stair railing. It seems odd but it makes sense in why her leg is up so high

I didn't mean that - although her thigh looks wierd, as if she had a belt or two strapped around it. That is a real life thing, of course, but not THAT much given how high she has her leg.

What I mean was to give her boots, even knee-high to balance those shoulder pads or even make her look slightly more armored.

I am now happy with the splash. The model is still kinda weird, especially the face, but I don't play Fiora that much so meh.

Her new splash is a lot nicer. It's totally acceptable in its current state.
