@Riot Why disrespect a very well known voice actor?

In this pod cast at around 4 minutes one of them just calls Adam Harrington a "random person on the street". To me thats really disrespectful even if it was just meant as a joke. He helped voice _MANY _ LoL characters and is best known for his Mordekaiser and Shaco voices in league. Honestly i never make serious topics but this feels like it should be addressed.

Honestly it was almost certainly a joke that he's in on.

Adam Harrington has done a shitload of League content over the years, even unofficial stuff, he's one of the rare original VA's who actually remembers they voiced a character in those early years (There's a great snippet of an interview with Ashe's voice actress where she totally forgot she did work for Riot, then played League and was like "Wait a minute.")

But he's fairly well known for mostly playing bit roles, although he's damn good at it. Honestly it sounds like something he'd call himself.

But yeah, without context, it does seem kinda shitty. Potential In-Jokes that might be insulting aren't the best things to share on a multi million viewer podcast.

EDIT: Hey, so, uh, it turns out Adam Harrington responded to this and it's NOT an inside joke. And that disappoints me greatly.

This guy has been an iconic voice for like FIVE champions, and yeah, you've got Troy Baker and Matthew Mercer now, great, but Adam Harrington helped get you to that point. League didn't start out a hit, it was people like him who put in the work to make it that way, and he's been great to the community ever since. Wow.

I honestly don't know much about him, but I imagine it to be an inside joke. I mean according to his wiki page he didn't do a lot before working with Riot and Telltale games, so maybe he was a "random person on the street", before that. He could also have been discovered by accident: Riot employee is talking to a "random person on the street" and finds out that he is a voiceactor and recommends him.

Need confirmation though...

Adam Harrington's a great voice actor, he's been part of a lot of games and his vocal range is awesome! I definitely think he should at least be kept as the voice of ONE of the characters he voiced.

After listening to it, I don't think they're calling the voice actor "a random person off the street". Could be interpreted in a way that Riot thought that the old Ryze VO was done in such a low quality way that it might as well be a random person doing it. Not sure about it, though.

Uh yeah according to the link you posted his career peaked in 2009-2011 and I hope he has another job or he's probably homeless considering he's only had a couple roles a year the past few years and none of the games are major.. I see only like 3 A list games on there, TDU2 Rift and LoL you talk as if he's actually someone most gamers have heard of (or at least heard) like Stephen Blum
