Rito, I'm REALLY missing the OLD lore, with CONTINUITY between the game and lore. Still, what you guys wrote is pretty awesome. Easily the best writing to come out of the story department!

Certainly that quotation comes from the dark period between the death of the JoJ and today, but the idea of killing off a character while keeping them playable in the game is by no means a new one.

DrCyanide1 votesNo. The ship exploded because Miss Fortune targetted it. She set up TF and Graves for a public execution (via their inevitable capture by Gangplank) so everyone would see her destroy Gangplank.
Her plan would have suceeded with or without TF and Graves dying on the first go.

Deep Terror Nami1 votesBeing unable to change gameplay or lore because of the other one is detrimental to each. If this were an RPG, that wouldn't be the case, but it isn't. The retcon was started specifically because of this, so that they could do things with the lore and it not hurt the game, or vice versa.

The character's then simply can decide whether or not to accept or decline. For the game's sake, they always accept (when we press that button when match is found).
