Zed: Shadow Magic Is Synonym Of Death?

What can be said about Zed's magic? Disregarding his current lore and imagine..

I just had a passing thought of Nocturne and Kindred:Wolf. They both chase and kill things and they're both using misty-wispy black smoke. Zed more or less does the same .. but he's the Master of Shadows.

Mordekaiser was looking for something physical in his current background. Instead, he acquired whatever it was out of his victim. What if Zed during his banishment sought whatever Mordekaiser was looking for? Just making a slight connection inspires the thought 'Ooh. Zed stole some undead magic thing or something!', and then go about Zed's current background story. Mordekaiser and his sorcerers then went about conjuring the Shadow Isle curse.

This slight connection could give so much clarity, I think.

Fan Fiction: Shen and the Kinkou Order take responsibility in safeguarding balance, I think, probably in all ways including those to test their faith. I suppose that idealogy is inspired by Bard. [Bard: Mountain]: Bard securing something. You'll notice at the end how things disappear like Shen's ultimate. Anyway, with this Order vaguely understood let's say Zed was given the task to safeguard a relic in the world. Zed went about securing what Mordekaiser was looking for. This, now, mixed into his current background may sound better than 'ventured into a sealed part of the clan's temple for magic shadow. ooOOoo'.

Mordekaiser and Zed acquired the relic through contest. Mordekaiser fought him for the Shadow relic and in the heat of the moment took grace and confronted with dialogue. Mordekaiser used words to tempt Zed. Kinkou ninjas are not informed enough of their tasks; only how to handle and secure an object. Mordekaiser knew its secret and offered that power to Zed. Influenced decisions were made, Zed exchanged the relic for power and now wields this shadow magic.
