Soooo... yeah her face is too long.. need to shorten that a bit. It was just the angle that was wrong, move her head lower. Photoshopped her hips too..

But as far as your edit goes, it's as close as humanly possible to fixing this piece of shit (you did a great job) and it's still bad. There is no actual fixing it, it has to be replaced.

I'm probably gonna get downvoted here, but are any of you guys posting on this thread aware of how you artistically realistically portray distance and scale? Her face is long because she's leaning forward which is why her right knee looks so big while her left one coming out of the portal is tiny in comparison. Naturally her body which is stretched out beneath her would look smaller in scale compared to her face but if you were to take the face on the right after the Photoshop and have her stand straight up, it would look short and smashed in comparison.

Also, had another guy comment the picture of her 3D render from the League video. look at her hips and her face. Big hair, long face, big hips. And in all honesty in comparison to WK and mercenary Kat im surprised they didnt actually make her butt bigger in this. she's all hip.

any of you guys ever see girls on facebook, twitter, or snapchat? They turns sideways to make their stomach look thinner, lean forward to make their chest look bigger, and stick their hip out. This pose here is no different than 10k you can find on social media. Kat has always had big hips both in game and in splash and that's exactly how it's supposed to look when a girl is in that pose.

oh and the weird shadow-y guys on the side are people seen through a ripple caused by the distortion in space that kat is jumping through. That's why they look stretched and blurry. Personally from an artistic point of view both aesthetically and in terms the realistic rendering of a 3D figure onto a 2 dimensional plane following proper understanding of objective distortion, it's spot on.

I like the new Kat and you're free to compare the image of the 3D render and please for the love of god use reason when telling me why it is exactly you believe that a woman could not possibly look that way or make that pose. Just compare the splash with the 3D render and imagine the render in that pose. Then tell me if you still think it's distorted.

Regardless of whether or not it's anatomically correct, it's still awkward to look at, in my opinion. The pose looks uncomfortable and the proportions look weird, even if they are correct.

it's not supposed to be comfortable. she's not sitting in a chair having tea, she's in the middle of jumping through a shunpo portal to stab somebody. tell you what. lets have you jump through a hula hoop while sometime takes a picture of your face in the process and see if you look comfortable while you're at it.

A great edit: No need for her hip to look like a shelf, that's just ridiculous. Shortening her face did wonders as well make her look a bit better and still get the intensity in her look that this splash obviously is trying to go for.

I wish they had their artists doing more productive stuff than downgrading what is already good. Normally I wouldn't be so rude when talking about someone's art. Hell I would kudos this interpretation of Kat. All that goes out the window when you present it as an upgrade from what is already there. I have opposed about 1/3 of these splash updates, but this one is one of the worst. The main things that jump out at me as "awful" are the perspective and anatomy. Everyone is so focused on her face that they don't see how deformed her body is.

People on this board think all girls in league should have the curves of a goddess.... I think her hips look fine, all the girls aren't built to be filling out their hips, so her hip bone is showing.. big whoop it's normal as quite a few girls have this feature.

People just need to take anatomy lessons because this splash is perfect imo.

Why do the female champs have to have immaculately beautiful and perfect faces? I actually kind of like the new splash just because it gives her some character; something different instead of a generic, societal-beauty-standard face. So everyone's mad because...you can't fap to her anymore? You don't think she's as good-looking as before? Liking the art is not equivalent to thinking it is beautiful, so standards of beauty is not relevant just for liking the art, whereas NOT liking the art is ENTIRELY about standards of beauty. I was saying I like the art because it gives her more character, not because it makes her more beautiful. Everyone else who has commented with dissent is making the argument that she is not as attractive in the picture, and that's what I'm commenting about. You can appreciate/enjoy something regardless of beauty, or even in spite of it.

i think a lot of us want a happy medium and aren't whining because she's suddenly not soft-faced pretty like in the older splash art.

katarina shouldn't be soft-faced pretty but this is a bit too extreme in the opposite direction. the edit hasn't even made her "attractive" - it's kept the same features but shortened them so they make a little bit more sense and aren't overly stretched out.
